Abstract: A multi-layered polymeric checkstand conveyor belt of the type used in grocery stores that is printed to display advertising information to engage the shopper at the point of sale and coated with a durable and impervious antimicrobial-containing surface coating. The inclusion of a QR code on the printed belt enables a shopper to easily access the information with a QR code reader app on the shopper's cell phone which directs to the store's website. The advertising and information content on the website can be easily changed and updated by the store so that the information content, including store promotions and special events are kept current. The antimicrobial agent in the surface coating is a quaternary ammonium organosilane compound that kills microbes on contact and has long-lasting residual effects to destroy and prevent the proliferation of microbes such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and the like. However, the cleanliness of the antimicrobial checkstand conveyor belt must be maintained by regular, and preferably at least daily, cleaning with an all-purpose cleaner and application of an antimicrobial surface protectant that inhibits the growth of bacteria the conveyor belt surface for an extended period of time. Compliance with the cleaning procedure is facilitated and ensured by the provision of an App downloaded to a tablet PC, for example, that has a detailed dashboard and accessible data to remind, report, and confirm cleaning of the belt.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems for applying finishing treatment to balls. The system includes an arm that transports at least one ball through a plurality of stations. A first station includes a first actuator, which permits introduction of a ball into the arm. Abstract: The invention discloses a photocured medical catheter hydrophilic lubricating coating and a preparation method thereof. The hydrophilic lubricating coating comprises a primer coating and a lubricating coating. The primer coating is attached to the surface of a device, and the lubricating coating is attached to the primer coating. The primer coating comprises 1-10 parts by weight of one or more polyester acrylates, 50-90 parts by weight of one or more solvents, 0.5-5 parts by weight of one or more photoinitiators, 0.5-2 parts by weight of one or more wetting agents and 0.5-5 parts by weight of one or more reactive (or active) diluents. The lubricating coating comprises 1-10 parts by weight of one or more water soluble macromolecules, 1-5 parts by weight of one or more crosslinking (or crosslinked) macromolecules, 0-1 part by weight of one or more photoinitiators, 0.1-1 part by weight of one or more surfactants and 50-98 parts by weight of one or more solvents. The preparation method of the hydrophilic lubricating coating is simple and easy in operation. Substance residues caused by complicated high-temperature chemical reactions are avoided. The cured coating forms a crosslinking (or crosslinked) structure, has good adhesion on the surface of a medical catheter and has excellent and lasting lubricity in an aqueous medium. The friction coefficient of the surface of the medical catheter is reduced. Harm to human tissues and adhesion of macromolecules in blood are decreased.

Abstract: A technique for obtaining good film quality in forming a silicon-oxide-containing insulating film as a coating film on a substrate. A coating liquid containing polysilazane is applied to a wafer, a solvent in the coating liquid is volatilized, and then the coating film is irradiated with ultraviolet rays under a nitrogen atmosphere before performing a curing process. Thus, dangling bonds are likely to be formed at hydrolyzed portions in polysilazane. Since dangling bonds are formed in advance at portions in silicon to be hydrolyzed, productivity of hydroxyl groups is enhanced. That is, since an energy required for hydrolysis is reduced, the number of the portions remaining without being hydrolyzed is reduced even when the curing process is performed at a low temperature. Therefore, dehydration synthesis occurs efficiently, which increases a crosslinking rate and makes it possible to form a dense (good film quality) insulating film.
