Abstract: A massaging apparatus comprises a series of massaging wheels mounted on a rotary shaft. A shifting shaft is arranged coaxially within the rotary shaft for shifting the latter in directions perpendicular to the rotary axis. A motor is coupled to both the rotary shaft and shifting shaft by means of a compact planetary type gearing which enables power to be split between the two shafts in an efficient manner so as to eliminate the need for the usual clutching mechanisms and their accompanying size and weight.

Embodiments of the system and apparatuses may be converted from an independent telecommunications robot, to a robotic walker, to a robotic wheelchair.

Abstract: An exemplary subcutaneous medical device implanted within a patient uses a coil-less magnetic field sensor included within the subcutaneous medical device to detect a toggling sequence between a presence and an absence of an externally-generated static magnetic field. The toggling sequence is representative of a digital data stream according to a digital wireless communication protocol. The subcutaneous medical device identifies, based on the detected toggling sequence and in accordance with the digital wireless communication protocol, a multi-bit command encoded within the digital data stream represented by the toggling sequence. The subcutaneous medical device further performs, in response to the identifying of the multi-bit command, an action associated with the multi-bit command. Corresponding methods and a corresponding external controller are also disclosed.

Abstract: A massaging apparatus has two massaging systems arranged proximate to each other for performing more elaborate massage on target body areas. The massaging apparatus includes a first massaging member pair for massaging target areas; a second massaging member pair, provided independently of the first massaging member pair, for massaging target areas; a rotation shaft rotatably driven; a paired first conversion mechanisms, each disposed on a corresponding one of the first massaging members, for converting rotation of the rotation shaft into mutually approaching and separating movements of the first massaging members; and a second conversion mechanism for converting rotation of the rotation shaft into mutually approaching and separating movements of the paired second massaging members. The second massaging member pair is disposed between the paired first massaging members, and the second conversion mechanism is disposed between the paired first conversion mechanisms.

Abstract: The present invention provides an adjustable bed handheld remote control that may include a handheld housing, a touch sensor on a front face of the handheld housing, a transmitter and the like. The touch sensor may be presented in a slider form and may be adapted to facilitate a user in adjusting a frame position of an adjustable bed. The transmitter may be electrically coupled to a processor and may receive input from the touch sensor, for communication control signals to the adjustable bed in accordance with the input received from the touch sensor.

Abstract: An interactive entertainment system comprises a display device for viewing an interactive video and a controller for operating one or more sex toys for providing stimulations to a user at a remote location and displayed in the interactive video. A sensory feedback is generated as a function of the provide stimulations. The sensory feedback indicates one or more of the following: strength of the stimulations; patterns of the stimulations; characteristics of the stimulations; status of the stimulations; types of the stimulations; and the status of the sex toys. The one or more sex toys and the controller are at different locations. The one or more sex toys can be virtual objects or real objects, while the user can be a virtual user or a natural person.
