CONSTITUTION: A device for the snow chain recognition of a VRS system comprises a height sensor(10), an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(30), and a mounting unit(20). The height sensor is mounted in a spot which is capable of sensing the change of tire bump by a medium of the mounting unit. The ECU analyzes a voltage pattern according to the bump change level obtained from the height sensor; determines the installation of a snow chain; and turns on or off the VRS system according to the determination. The mounting unit comprises a bracket(22) and a support arm(26). The bracket is fixed to a vehicle body by the inner end and is engaged with one end of the height sensor by the outer end.
