Abstract: Disclosed is a battery safety device which includes a cell module which includes a plurality of cells which are formed with a planar shape and face each other, a cartridge which is formed between the cells and supports each cell in a surface direction, and an electrode lead which is installed on the side of each cell, electrically connects the cells, and forms an installation space with the cell; a fixing plate into which the cell module is inserted and which is fixed in the front and rear ends of the inserted cell module and limits the expansion of the cell module in the surface direction; and a blocking device which is formed in the installation space and ruptures the electrode lead by being pushed to the electrode lead by the expansion of the cell if the cell is laterally expanded.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A starting system for a hybrid vehicle is provided to enable the start of an engine by using a high voltage battery when the starting of an engine is impossible due to a discharged base battery. CONSTITUTION: A starting system for a hybrid vehicle comprises: a starting motor(1) which starts an engine; a base battery(3) which is included in order to supply the electricity to the starting motor; a high voltage battery(5); a discharge detecting unit which senses the discharge state of the base battery when the engine starts up; a controller(7) which obtains information of the discharge state of the base battery from the discharge detecting unit; and an electricity supplying unit which supplies electricity from the high voltage battery to the base battery by the control of the controller.
