Abstract: PURPOSE: A battery heating system using a PCT heater is provided to obtain high battery output even in a low temperature region by heating the battery through the application of power to the PCT heater attached to the surface of a battery cell. CONSTITUTION: A battery heating system using a PCT heater comprises: a unit module(100) in which a PCT heater(20) is attached to the surface of a battery cell(10); a temperature sensor sensing the temperature of the battery cell; and a control unit for applying the power to the PCT heater as the temperature information of the battery cell received from the temperature sensor. The battery cell is heated by driving the PCT heater.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatic opening plug-in-charging port and a method for controlling the same are provided to improve the convenience of battery charging process by automatically opening the cover of a low speed charging port. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatic opening plug-in-charging port includes a radio frequency identification(RFID) chip, a transmission circuit, an antenna, an electronic control unit(ECU)(24), a relay(30), and an actuator(26). The RFID chip and the transmission circuit are embedded in the battery charger of a charging cable(18). The antenna receives an RFID signal from the charger. The ECU confirms whether the RFID signal is an allowable user. The relay becomes an on-state according to the controlling signal of the ECU. The actuator opens the cover of the charging port.
