In formulae, Q is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or heterocycloalkyl group, (z) is an integer 1 to 5, Rf is a perfluoro (cyclo) alkyl or perfluoroalkyl aryl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms, A is -(CH2 )n -, wherein(n)= 1 to 10, B is -OH, =NK, -NH2 or -(COOH), RH is an alkyl or cycloalkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, and X is -H, -OH, =NH, -NH2 , -SO3 H or -SO3 Na.

CONSTITUTION: The magnetic recording medium substantially consisting of a polymer band-like substrate guided on a cylindrical drum and more particularly a roller-shaped cooling drum and the tightly adhesive thin layer of a ferromagnetic material is produced by forming the vapor jet of this ferromagnetic material from an evaporating device 6 to which this material is supplied in a reduced pressure chamber 1 and depositing the vapor jet by evaporation on this substrate. At this time, the vapor jet 7 is brought into collision against the substrate 2 at the angle different from 90 deg.. The revolving shaft of the cylindrical drum 4 for guiding the substrate is inclined with respect to the plane of the evaporating device 6.
