Abstract: PURPOSE: A chopper controlling method of a fuel battery-super cap hybrid vehicle is provided to minimize the IGBT heat-producing loss and the capacitor heat-producing loss by extracting a parameter. CONSTITUTION: A chopper controlling method of a fuel battery-super cap hybrid vehicle comprises the following steps: monitoring the voltage(Vc) of a super capacitor in a regenerative braking; turning on an IGBT of a chopper if the voltage is bigger than the upper limit(Vmax); calculating the electric power loss amount(PR) of a damping resistance; inputting the electric power loss amount to a map for extracting a chopper on/off controlling parameter to measure an optimum voltage difference and a regenerative current amount(Io); and comparing the voltage of the super capacitor with the upper limit of the voltage minus the optimum voltage difference; and turning off the IGBT of the chopper.

Abstract: An inverter for an automobile is provided to reduce the number of a component by connecting a bus-bar with an output terminal of an IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) power module directly. Abstract: A DC-DC converter and method for controlling current mode of DC-DC converter are provided to reduce the switching loss by using saturable inductor. The converter is comprised of the bidirectional buck-boost converter. The power supply circuit portion comprises the source power(Vs), and mode operation switch(S1), and synchronous rectification switch(S2). The filter section comprises the saturable inductor(Ls), and output filter capacitor(C1). When it is the heavy load, the saturable inductor is saturated and has the big ripple current.
