The inventive method involves the automated preparation of a mixture by combining at least two, preferably at least three, constituents in a vessel, whereby at least one constituent is dosed into the vessel in an automated manner. The method also involves the automated homogenization of the mixture followed by an automated measuring and evaluation. The device for implementing said method comprises at least one dosing station (5), a closing station (7), a homogenizing station (9), a measuring station (13) for determining formulation properties, and an evaluation unit.

Abstract: A process for converting perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboximides of the general formula I in which R1 and R2 are each unbranched, branched or cyclic C1-C8-alkyl to a form suitable for use as fluorescent dyes, which comprises a) dissolving or suspending the perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboximides whose molecules have a molecular volume of ≦̸230 Å3 in an organic or inorganic solvent at from 0 to 250° C., b1) cooling the solution obtained in step a) to or below the crystallization temperature and, in the case of an organic solvent, if desired at the same time removing excess solvent until the first crystals form, or, in the case of an inorganic solvent, adding water or dilute aqueous solutions of the solvent until the first crystals form, and maintaining the solution at this temperature for further crystallization or b2) cooling the suspension obtained in step a) to or below the crystallization temperature when the temperature in step a) was above the crystallization temperature, and maintaining the suspension at this temperature for further crystallization, c) isolating the solvate crystals formed in step b) and d) then removing the solvent from the solvate crystals, and also novel crystalline forms of perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic diimides.

Abstract: Disclosed is a crystalline modification IV of pyraclostrobin which, in an X-ray powder diffractogram at 25°C, shows at least three of the following reflexes: d = 6.02 ± 0.01 Å, d = 4.78 ± 0.01 Å, d = 4.01 ± 0.01 Å, d = 3.55 ± 0.01 Å and d = 3.01 ± 0.01 Å. Also disclosed is a process for preparing a crystalline modification IV of pyraclostrobin as defined above, which comprises: i) dissolving a pyraclostrobin form different from modification IV in an organic solvent or solvent mixture, where the organic solvent or solvent mixture comprises at least 70% by volume of at least one fully water-miscible organic solvent L1 (such as methanol, ethanol, acetone or butanone) and if appropriate up to 30% by volume of water; and ii) effecting crystallization of pyraclostrobin over a period of at least 10 h and/or in the presence of seed crystals of modification IV.
