Abstract: A braking resistor for a fuel cell vehicle is provided to effectively prevent shutdown of the vehicle and fail of a resistor due to overheating of the braking resistor and improve the entire braking efficiency by enhancing performance of the resistor. A braking resistor(22) for a fuel cell vehicle includes an auxiliary cooling device which cools the braking resistor or a cooling water line for cooling the braking resistor when a temperature of the braking resistor exceeds a predetermined temperature. The auxiliary cooling device includes a cooling module(45), a reservoir(41), a cooling water line(42) for the cooling module, a magnetic valve(44), a water pump(43), a temperature sensor(46), and an ECU(Engine Control Unit)(47) for the cooling module.

Abstract: A device and a method for driving LDC of a hybrid vehicle are provided to maintain a power quantity of a sub battery and drive the vehicle with an engine by generating a power through a driving of a motor connected to the engine. A device for driving LDC of a hybrid vehicle comprises a high voltage battery(10), a main relay(12), a DC-DC converter(16), an MCU(Motor Control Unit)(18), a load(20), a motor(22), and an engine ECU(Engine Control Unit)(26). A capacitor is connected to the high voltage battery through the main relay. The DC-DC converter is connected to an output terminal of the capacitor. The MCU calculates a requested current value of the load. The load is connected to the out terminal of the DC-DC converter. The motor is connected to an output terminal of the MCU. The ECU is connected to the output terminal of the MCU to drive the engine connected to the motor in series.
