    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the optical filter of the pixel of a CMOS image array by providing a radiation-sensitive resistance element where an access transistor being located at a second level is connected to an access transistor being located at a second level. SOLUTION: The pixel of a passive-type pixel construct 300 has a substrate 301, and an MOS pass transistor 303 is formed on it. The transistor is provided with a source being formed in the substrate, drain diffusion regions 305 and 307, and a gate 308 being formed on the substrate. In a gate electrode, first and second capacitor plates 309 and 311 of two polysilicon constructs are provided at the upper part of the pass transistor 303. The first capacitor plate 309 is separated from the substrate 301 and the pass transistor 303 by a passivation layer 313. The second capacitor plate 311 is separated from the first capacitor plate 309 by a capacitor dielectric layer 315. A photosensitive resistance element 317 is provided in the inclusion layer of the second capacitor plate.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a capacity type touch pad in which cursor/pointer screen movement can be generated by the position of a finger tip on the surface by calculating a center of gravity output signal by making the output signal of a cell for detection of a 1st array as the function of the position of the finger tip and connecting it to a resistance node of a 2nd array. SOLUTION: A two-dimensional(2D) electronic signal output i.e., the pattern of an array which encodes the contact function of a finger tip on the surface on the array is injected to a 2D pseudo resistance circuit network 301. This circuit network 301 detects the center of gravity of the inputted array output signal i.e., a 1st moment and the mass i.e., a 2nd moment. A center of gravity and a mass function are calculated at the same time by this constitution. Electrically outputting terminals 302 and 303 give an X- and a Y-directional component determining a cursor/pointer screen movement direction that a user desires, respectively. This pseudo resistance circuit network 301 can be embedded in a sensor array by using integrated circuit technology and thereby, an integrated device can be obtained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make detectable foreign matter on a detection surface by outputting electric signals when a dielectric constant or a field form between two buried capacitor plates changes, by means of a physical matter on a sensor detection surface. SOLUTION: A plurality of sensor arrays are provided with semiconductor capacitive sensor cells respectively arranged in M×N pieces in directions X, Y. A dielectric layer 25 on the uppermost side of the capacitive sensor cells covers capacitor plates 23, 24 while a horizontal surface 125 on the upper side of the layer 25 serves as an array surface comes into contact with a foreigh matter to be detected. When a foreign matter physically stocks onto the surface 125, it changes the dielectric constant and field from together with the plates 23, 24, dreskulting in change in the capacitance value. By performing the connection in a negative feedback style from an output end of an amplifier 17 to an input end thereof, the arrays can generate an output indicating the existence of foreign matter 18.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for compensating a kTC noise in the individual pixel of an array for forming a MOS image. SOLUTION: At first, a photo-diode is exposed to a reset voltage, and then a well area is cut from Vdd , and floated so that compensation can be attained. The well is floated so that a kTC charge introduced later (at the end of a reset process) can be re-distributed, and therefore, most of this is stored on a capacitor between the well and a substrate. Afterwards, the well is clamped to the Vdd again, and the noise stored in the capacitor between the well and the substrate is offset. This device is provided with an array constituted of plural pixels, and each pixel is provided with each well. Moreover, access to the power supply source (Vdd ) should be switchable. Therefore, a transistor is provided at the connecting part of each pixel.
