Abstract: A start-delay preventing device of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) and a method for controlling the same are provided to improve performance and product quality of the HEV by converting in advance the vehicle to driving preparation mode from information obtained by an ultrasonic sensor. A start delay preventing device of hybrid electric vehicle includes: an ultrasonic sensor(10) to detect distance with a preceding vehicle and to sense its movement; HCU(Hybrid Control Unit)(12) to transmit a staring signal to an engine(14); and TCU(Transmission Control Unit)(16) to detect the starting signal from the HCU and to transmit a driving signal to an oil pump of the CVT(18). A method for controlling the start-delay preventing device includes the steps of: sensing the movement of preceding vehicle by the ultrasonic sensor; activating the engine by transmitting a starting signal to the engine; accomplishing driving of the oil pump by transmitting a driving signal to the oil pump; operating an acceleration clutch(20) by oil pressure generated from driving of the oil pump; and accomplishing actual start of the vehicle.

Abstract: A device and a method for realizing an EV(Electric Vehicle) mode of a soft type hybrid vehicle are provided to drive an oil pump in a driving motor, feeding hydraulic pressure for keeping a transmission at 1-speed during the EV mode, thereby obtaining a simpler control logic than a logic using a driving motor and an exterior oil pump. A device for realizing an EV(Electric Vehicle) mode of a soft type hybrid vehicle is composed of a driving motor(6) driven by power of a battery in the EV mode, to generate driving power for initial starting; an engine(1) generating power with synchronizing with the driving motor by an ISG(Integrated Starter Generator,2), to change power in releasing the EV mode; a transmission(3) having the driving motor and an engine clutch(5) installed at a shaft equipped with a torque converter(4) and changing the speed according to the gear level; and a control unit comprising an HCU(Hydraulic Control Unit,11) and a TCU(Transmission Control Unit,10). The HCU receives gear level information through an oil pump(9) combined to a shaft at the front end of the driving motor at a shaft of the transmission connected to the engine, and a shift lever position sensor(12) and pedal operation information through a brake pedal position sensor(13), and judges an EV mode or an HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle) mode during an initial starting step. The TCU controls a hydraulic path of a valve body(8) to engage the engine clutch after starting, by supplying hydraulic pressure fed from the oil pump driven by the driving motor, to the transmission.
