Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large ion engine which is equipped with an accelerating electrode whose aperture is large and which is thick, and is low fuel consumption and has a long life. SOLUTION: This ion engine introduces working gas to the inside of a discharge container 3 arranged in a sealed case 1, generates plasma in the electric discharge container 3 by ionizing this working gas, and also retains plasma in a range separated from the inner wall of the discharge container 3, takes out ion in plasma by an accelerating electrode 4 so as to be accelerated and feed ion from an ion beam passing hole 5 to the outside of the discharge container 3 so as to generate thrust. Hereupon, a grid plate 4b composing the accelerating electrode 4 is formed by laminating a plurality of thin grid plates 21a, 21b, 21c to which the ion beam passing hole is formed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably join a part having complicated shape, a part having large joining area and a hollow part with keeping high precision by forming at least one layer of a brazing filler metal having a metal as a main component, machining this to a desired shape and joining with heating an inert gas atmosphere. SOLUTION: A brazing filler metal consisting of 15Cr-4B and the balance of a brazing filler metal powder is thermally sprayed, e.g. with a target thickness of 100 μm, on a curved joining face of a metal member 1 made of a nickel base alloy, hastelloy X so as to form a brazing filler metal layer 2. The thermal spraying is conducted with an evacuated plasma spraying method. Next, a surface of the brazing filler metal layer 2 is machined so as to keep a tight adhesion state with a hastelloy X metal member 1. Further, while keeping a tight adhesion state between the metal member 1 and brazing filler metal layer 2, the assembly is placed on a mounting fixture prepared in a vacuum furnace, heated/jointed. After a fixed cooling time, the assembly is taken out of the vacuum furnace. Any defect is not found in a joined part as a result of inspection, and a joining state is excellent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To absorb thermal expansion securely to prevent thermal deformation by fitting plate spring pieces formed separately from an electrode main frame of an accelerating electrode plate to the electrode main frame, and supporting the accelerating electrode plate through these plate spring pieces. CONSTITUTION:An accelerating electrode consists of a screen grid 10 and an accelerating grid 11. Multiple supporting pieces 13 are integrally projected from the peripheral edge of an electrode main frame 12 in the radial direction. In this case, one side of a plate spring piece 14 is fixed to the tip of each supporting piece 13. The tip of the plate spring piece 14 is fitted to a supporting member 24 by screwing a fitting screw 23 with a fitting hole of a plate spring part, and the supporting member 24 is fitted to the charge container 3 side of a thruster, namely, the main frame side through a fixing member 25. Consequently, even if an accelerating grid 11 is heated, partial heat insulation is performed between the supporting pieces 13 and the plate spring pieces 14, and temperature distribution in the peripheral edge of the electrode main frame 12 of the accelerating grid 11 is evened.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain good sealing property, prevent the mixing of oxidizer gas and fuel gas, and prevent leakage by providing ring-shaped seal members inserted with insulators between multiple ring-shaped metal members between adjacent upper and lower separators of manifolds. CONSTITUTION:Ring-shaped seal members 14 are provided in oxidizer gas feed/ exhaust manifolds 4 and 5 and fuel gas feed/exhaust manifolds 6 and 7, ring- shaped metal members 16a and 16b of ring-shaped seal members 14 and adjacent separators 3 are welded together, thus both gases are completely sealed for feeding end exhausting, and oxidizer gas and fuel gas are not mixed. When respective members have approximate linear expansion coefficients at connection sections between ring-shaped metal members 16a and 16b and insulators 15 and welded sections between ring-shaped metal members 16a and 16b and separators 3, no distortion is generated by the difference in thermal expansion, and durability and the sealing property can be secured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a long-sized double tube by inserting an inner tube into an outer tube by bringing an outside diameter of the inner tube to be smaller than an inside diameter of the outer tube by a prescribed dimension and then press fitting the outer and inner tubes by plastically deforming the outer tube. CONSTITUTION:An inner tube 2 whose outside face has slits 4 and whose inside surface has grooves 3 in the axial direction is formed to have the same length as that of an outer tube 1 and the outside diameter of the tube 2 is worked to be smaller than an inside diameter of the outer tube 1 by a prescribed dimension. After inserting the tube 2 into the tube 1, a pressure F is applied to a groove 5b formed on the peripheral surface of the tube 1 to plastically deform the tube 1 in the peripheral direction and to tightly adhered to the tube 2. Thus, the stoppage on the way of the inner tube due to galling, etc., are eliminated, so that the long-sized double tube is easily formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently transfer heat generated from a heat generator to a package through fine wirings and to improve a cooling efficiency by arranging the thin wires having high thermal conductivity to be arranged so that the generator is brought into contact with the inner surface of the enclosure. CONSTITUTION:When heat is generated form a semiconductor chip 1, the heat is transferred to a heat transfer block 3 through fine metallic thin wires 6. The heat of the chip 1 transferred to the block 2 is externally dissipated via fins 7 connected to the block 3. Part of the heat generated from the chip 1 is also transferred to a board 2 through a bump 4. Since the thin wires 6 in contact with the chip 1 have elasticity, even if the chip 1 has irregular height, a gradient, they absorb it to effectively bring into contact with the chip 1, thereby satisfactorily transferring the heat of the chip 1 to the block 3. Since the thin wires 6 are secured to the entire inner surface of the block 3, the ends of the wirings 6 are brought into contact with the chip 1 irrespective of the array of the chips 1 to transfer the heat to the block 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure a stable heat transport function by forming a plurality of slits formed in an internal peripheral surface of an inner pipe in a double pipe-type heat pipe suitable for a two phase fluid loop type heat discharge system and the like into a depth where opening ends of the slits located inside thereof are communicated with a valley part of a group. CONSTITUTION:A double pipe-type heat pipe 7 includes an outer pipe 8 having a transverse section of a T shape, and in the outer pipe 8 a large diameter passage 10 and a small diameter passage 11 are parallely formed at a half portion of the center of the outer pipe so as to communicate with each other at a boundary therebetween. An inner pipe 9 is inserted into the large diameter passages 10. The inner pipe 9 includes slits 13 extending over 180 degree and formed axially thereof on a peripheral wall thereof in an equal interval in a zig-zag manner, and a group 12 formed on the inner peripheral surface axially thereof. The slit 13a is formed into a depth where it extends only a valley of the group 12. Hereby, the inside of the inner pipe through which vapor flows and the small diameter passage 11 through which a medium fluid flows are partitioned with a fluid film undergoing surface tension, and hence a back flow of the vapor to the small diameter passage 11 is securely prevented.
