Abstract: A walker assist device has first and second U-shaped lateral frames with cross bars extending between the frames and through a knee rest control unit. A knee rest is rotatably mounted to the knee rest control unit and is laterally slidable along the cross bars to adjust its position on the cross bars. Abstract: Device for mobility rehabilitation comprising a table (2), hinged at an end to a support structure (3) and respective actuator (4), configured to make said table (2) rotate between a horizontal position and a vertical position, said table (2) being provided with a harness (15) configured to fasten a patient positioned thereon so that the patient cannot fall down even when the table is in vertical position, said rehabilitation device comprising also a lower limbs movement mechanism (8) configured to make the patient's femur rotate with respect to the hip and a couple of feet movement platforms (6), characterized in that said device comprises also a plurality of infrared light sources (11), fastened to respective supports (10) integral to said support structure (3) and positioned so that each light source lights up the muscles of a respective area of the patient's lower limbs, a data processing and control unit (13) configured to control said lower limbs movement mechanism (8) and said light sources (11), and in that said data processing and control unit (13) is configured also to manage an adjusting cycle of the intensity of said light sources (11) in a differentiated manner for each of said sources, as a function of the movement cycle imposed by said couple of mobilization actuators of the lower limbs.

Abstract: Two vertical front posts (2a, 2b) and two vertical rear posts (3a, 3b) are mounted on a flat platform of the automated device. The front posts (2a, 2b) mounted in the horizontal guide are symmetrically moved by the spacing adjustment mechanism within the range between the position of the joined front posts (2a, 2b) to a dimension between their inner surfaces equal to the width of the wheelchair, and the moved apart position to a dimension where the width dimension of the wheelchair is located between the mechanical legs (2.3a, 2.3b) suspended on the front posts (2a, 2b). On the inner surfaces of the front posts (2a, 2b), there are vertical guides with a screw drive mechanism for pelvic height adjustment. The mechanical legs (2.3a, 2.3b) girdle the patient's lower limbs from the outside by: pelvic control units that induce a symmetrically alternating movement of the hip joint hinges in both mechanical legs (2.3a, 2.3b) with ellipsoid trajectories, and by adjustable thigh and shin connectors and foot connectors actuated by tilt units. The rear posts (3a, 3b) are mounted with the internal faces spaced apart by a distance equal to the dimension between joined front posts (2a, 2b), and they have vertical guides for two symmetrically actuated lift brackets (3.1), connected at their upper ends by a lifter with a crossbar on its end having two handles (3.1.9) for the patient's hands. In the vertical guide of one of the lift brackets (3.1) there is mounted a tiltable back hold supporting member (3.2). All servomotors actuating the moving parts of the automated device are controlled by signals from a software-equipped computer, including controlling the position and forces present by measuring sensors.

The lever (9) is also pivotally connected to an auxiliary rod (23) through a fourth hinge (24) located at a distance from the first and second hinges (10, 21). The auxiliary rod (23) is pivotally connected to the upright body (5) through a fifth hinge (25) that is displaceable along the upright body (5) through a guide (26) at the upright body (5) in a direction from the upper arm (4) to the base (3) and back. The first hinge (10) is located between the second and fourth hinges (21, 24) and beyond the fourth hinge (24) as seen in a direction from the upright body (5) to the plunger (6).

Abstract: A spinal decompression system comprising an anchor portion and a working portion operatively coupled to the anchor portion. The anchor portion is adapted to anchor the spinal decompression system to a mechanical ground. The anchor portion comprises an anchor strap. The spinal decompression system comprises a pair of arm supports to support a user's arms in a raised position. The pair of arm supports are operatively coupled to the anchor strap to form a load path from the pair of arm supports to the anchor strap. A load cell is disposed in the load path to sense an applied load applied by the pair of arm supports. The pair of arm supports have an adjustable height to adjust the spinal decompression system to apply a desired load to the users arm to unload at least a portion of the user's bodyweight.

Abstract: There is provided a tremor stabilisation apparatus, for example for helping to stabilise tremors of user with Parkinson's Disease or Essential Tremor. The tremor stabilisation apparatus (11) has a housing (17) that is attachable to a part of a user's body, for example a hand, and a rotatable flywheel assembly (23) mounted to the housing (17). The rotatable flywheel assembly (23) comprises a rotatable flywheel (24), a prime mover (25) arranged to rotate the flywheel (24) about a flywheel rotation axis (38), and a gimbal (26) to which the flywheel (24) is attached. The gimbal (26) is pivotally mounted to the housing (17) at a hinge (32, 33) formed between the gimbal (26) and the housing (17) and defining a precession axis (34) such that the flywheel (24) can precess with respect to the housing (17) about the precession axis (34). The precession axis (34) is fixed relative to the housing (17). The tremor stabilisation apparatus (11) further includes a biasing member (35) arranged to oppose precession of the rotatable flywheel assembly (23) and urge the rotatable flywheel assembly (23) to an equilibrium position.
