Abstract: Arrangement for compression sensing between two objects, preferably for compression treatment, in particular compression therapy arrangement, comprising a first object, e. f. a compression garment adapted to exert external pressure on a second object, e. g. a body portion and at least one sensor device associated with the first object and having at least one pressure sensor for determining the external pressure, wherein the pressure sensor comprises at least one pressure circuitry, having a sensing impedance which is dependent on the external pressure and at least one reference circuitry having a reference impedance which is essentially independent from the external pressure, wherein a cumulative signal which is dependent on the external pressure and other external influences acting in the vicinity of the sensing impedance is derivable from the pressure circuitry and a reference signal which is essentially independent from the external pressures but dependent on other external influences acting in the vicinity of the reference circuitry.

Abstract: Described herein is a wearable tactile feedback device (100, 300, 500) for attachment to a body part such as a forearm (102) of a user. The device (100, 300, 500) comprises a body (104) adapted to fit to the forearm (102) of the user. The device (100, 300, 500) also includes a plurality of vibration motors (106-121) attached to or embedded within the body (104) at spaced apart locations. A microcontroller (124) is configured to send control signals to the plurality of vibration motors (106-121). The plurality of vibration motors (106-121) are responsive to respective ones of the control signals to vibrate at predetermined intensities, frequencies and durations to provide vibratory tactile feedback to the user in the form of three dimensional direction cues for movement of the forearm (102). Abstract: A compression garment for circulatory-related disorder therapy includes a skin contacting layer, a second layer coupled to the skin contacting layer, and connectors disposed on the second layer. The skin contacting layer and the second layer form one or more macro-chambers. Each macro-chamber is partitioned into a plurality of micro-chambers. Each of the micro-chambers is in direct fluid communication with at least one other of the micro-chambers. Each of the connectors is configured to supply pressurized air directly into at least a corresponding one of the macro-chambers such that the pressurized air is delivered to at least one of the micro-chambers within the macro-chamber. The coupling of the skin contacting layer and the second layer is along a layer attachment profile that defines the macro-chambers and the micro-chambers. At least one of the micro-chambers is linked to another of the micro-chambers by way of a plurality of openings.

Abstract: A machine for exercising arms and shoulders and reducing abdominal fat. The machine includes a frame of curve shape. Straps extend from the ends of the frame for tightening the machine over the abdomen. The frame includes an upper rail, a middle rail, and a lower rail, the upper rail and middle rail form an upper track and the middle rail and lower rail form a lower track. An upper set of rollers are mounted in the upper track and an upper handle is coupled to the upper set of rollers. A lower set of rollers are mounted to the lower track and a lower handle is coupled to the lower set of rollers. The upper handle and the lower handle are grasped to pull and push the upper set of rollers and the lower set of rollers to roll back-and-forth in the upper track and the lower track respectively.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a level of collaboration between a user and an exoskeleton boot are provided. A device, using an exoskeleton boot, can provide a level of force to a limb of a user to aide movement of the limb. The device can measure one or more parameters of the exoskeleton boot during the movement of the limb using the exoskeleton boot. The device can determine one or more biometrics of the user during the movement of the limb using the exoskeleton boot. The device can determine, based on the one or more biometrics and the one or more parameters of the device, a metric indicative of a collaboration between the user and the exoskeleton boot during the movement.

Abstract: A robotic assembly comprises a first joint comprising first and second support members rotatably coupled together, and a joint position restoration assembly coupled to at least one of the first or second support members. The joint position restoration assembly can comprise a first spring and a mechanical linkage, wherein the joint position restoration assembly is operable to apply a restoring torque to the first joint. The joint position restoration assembly can be configured to provide a restoring torque versus joint position profile relative to the first joint that corresponds to known mass properties of at least a portion of the robotic assembly acting on or otherwise associated with the first joint, such that, when the first joint is not undergoing powered actuation, the joint position restoration assembly operates to apply, based on the profile, the restoring torque to position and to support the first joint in a stable support position.
