Abstract: An elongated flat strip of insulative material having at one end a central portion, lateral portions disposed on either side of the central portion, and transverse portions joining the lateral portions to the central portion. The central portion protrudes further than the lateral portions. Wire-connecting pads are concentrated in a line across the central portion and the lateral portions. Conductors are arranged along the length of the strip. The ends of the conductors terminate respectively at the different pads. The conductors terminating at the pads on the lateral portions are mounted along the outer edges of the strip and the conductors terminating at the pads on the central portion are arranged along the center of the strip. As a result, the conductors lead to each portion without passing the pads on the other portions. Each transverse portion has a double-reverse bend that places the pads on the lateral portions in a row stepped back from and beside the row of pads on the central portion. The end of the strip lies in a recess in a magnetic head assembly. The head windings are directly connected to the pads.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a highly reliable display device. In particular, a display device to which a signal or a power supply potential can be supplied stably is provided. Further, a bendable display device to which a signal or a power supply potential can be supplied stably is provided. The display device includes, over a flexible substrate, a display portion, a plurality of connection terminals to which a signal from an outside can be input, and a plurality of wirings. One of the plurality of wirings electrically connects one of the plurality of connection terminals to the display portion. The one of the plurality of wirings includes a first portion including a plurality of separate lines and a second portion in which the plurality of lines converge.

Abstract: Provided are electrical harness assemblies and methods of forming such harness assemblies. A harness assembly comprises a conductor trace, comprising a conductor lead with a width-to-thickness ratio of at least 2. This ratio provides for a lower thickness profile and enhances heat transfer from the harness to the environment. In some examples, a conductor trace may be formed from a thin sheet of metal. The same sheet may be used to form other components of the harness. The conductor trace also comprises a connecting end, monolithic with the conductor lead. The width-to-thickness ratio of the connecting end may be less than that of the conductor trace, allowing for the connecting end to be directly mechanically and electrically connected to a connector of the harness assembly. The connecting end may be folded, shaped, slit-rearranged, and the like to reduce its width-to-thickness ratio, which may be close to 1.

Abstract: Provided is a drive unit for an auto-injector having a drive unit housing arranged for docking receipt of a syringe or of a cassette unit comprising a syringe movable from a rest position, in which a needle tip of the syringe is within the drive unit housing to a use position, in which the needle tip protrudes from a needle delivery aperture; and a drive arrangement including one or more electrically powered sources of axial drive; a first drive transfer element for advancing the syringe to said use position; and a second drive transfer element for moving a plunger into the barrel of the syringe to eject liquid contents thereof. The drive unit housing is provided with a skin sensor arrangement having an array of plural skin sensor electrodes located about the needle delivery aperture.
