Abstract:
[Problem] To prevent detachment of overcoat layer which covers at least a part of a terminal formed on a substrate.[Measure to solve the problem] According to one embodiment, a detection device includes a substrate, detection electrode, terminal formed of a metal material, lead, coating layer, conductive adhesion layer, and circuit board. The lead connects the electrode and the terminal. The coating layer covers the electrode and the lead, and partly covers the terminal. The adhesion layer covers a part of the terminal exposed from the coating layer and covers a part of the coating layer. The circuit board is connected to the terminal with the adhesion layer interposed therebetween. At least in an overlapping area where the conductive adhesion layer covers the coating layer, the metal material that forms the terminal includes a shape that the metal material is partly removed.
Abstract:
Portable multimedia devices, and techniques for their manufacture, are provided that feature functional parts embedded with a resin matrix that obviates the need for traditional structural components such as midframes and/or outer casings. The resin matrix may be provided through the use of a flowable liquid resin that is flowed around the functional components within a mold cavity. The liquid resin may then be cured into the resin matrix.
Abstract:
An electronic device may be provided with a display such as an organic light-emitting diode display. The display may include an array of display pixels formed on a polymer substrate layer. The polymer substrate layer may include an contiguous layer of polyimide that forms a substrate layer in additional structures such as a polymer film and a flexible printed circuit. A first transition region may be interposed between the display and the polymer film, and a second transition region may be interposed between the polymer film and the flexible printed circuit. Metal traces may be formed on the polymer film and on the flexible printed circuit. A display driver integrated circuit may be mounted to the traces on the polymer film. The polymer film may form a U-shaped bend. The flexible printed circuit may be coupled to a printed circuit board in the device using hot bar solder connections.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a display apparatus that reduces a magnitude of a tension applied to a flexible PCB when a display panel is provided with a curved surface, and prevents damage of a driving chip. The display apparatus in accordance with exemplary embodiments includes a display panel configured to display an image, a source printed circuit board configured to control the display panel, and a flexible PCB that connects the display panel and the source printed circuit board. A length of at least one side edge of the flexible PCB is formed longer than a minimum length from the display panel to the source printed circuit board.
Abstract:
An electrical device includes a first unit including an electrode; a second unit having a hole at a position corresponding to the electrode of the first unit; a probe pin having a smaller diameter than the hole and configured to be elastically deformed, the probe pin being disposed in the hole such that a front end thereof is in contact with the electrode of the first unit; and an adhesive connecting the first unit and the second unit to each other and filling the hole so as to fix the probe pin.
Abstract:
Provided is a configuration for a semiconductor layer and a line for reducing the segment length of the semiconductor layer with respect to the bending direction of the flexible substrate. Such a configuration reduces the probability of cracks occurring in the semiconductor layer of the thin-film transistor, thereby improving the stability and durability of the thin-film transistor employed in a curved or a flexible display device. The configuration includes a thin-film transistor (TF) on the flexible substrate. The TFT includes the semiconductor layer extending obliquely with respect to the direction of the line.
Abstract:
Provided is a speaker and microphone integrated display panel including: a display panel having a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area; and a simultaneously convertible film type speaker or film type microphone which is mounted to correspond to an air hole in the non-display area, in which the display panel and the film type speaker or the film type microphone are at least partially integrated so as to be drive-connected.
Abstract:
