Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed for a lubricant station for applying lubricant to storage disk platters. The lubricant station includes a tub for holding lubricant and a caddy disposed in the tub, with the storage disk platters placed in the caddy. The caddy includes a mandrel configured to raise and lower the storage disk platters into the tub. The caddy also includes rotatable shafts configured to hold the storage disk platter. The caddy also includes a drive mechanism for rotating the rotatable shafts. The lubricant station also includes control circuitry configured to lower the storage disk platters onto the rotatable shafts of the caddy, rotate the rotatable shafts and the storage disk platters, and remove the storage disk platters from the tub.

Abstract: A method of creating a drug eluting system for hernia repair in a patient is provided. The includes providing an implantable mesh for hernia repair comprised of at least one of polytetrafluoroethylene fibers or polytetrafluoroethylene filaments, wherein the at least one of the polytetrafluoroethylene fibers or polytetrafluoroethylene filaments is at least one of directionally or non-directionally oriented, positioning a pharmaceutical agent on the implantable mesh, and coating at least a portion of the at least one of the polytetrafluoroethylene fibers or polytetrafluoroethylene filaments and the pharmaceutical agent with a polymer, wherein the implantable mesh is configured to be positioned in the body of the patient during the repair of the hernia and the pharmaceutical agent elutes from the implantable mesh into the body of the patient at the site of the hernia repair.

Abstract: Provided a wave-absorbing impregnation glue liquid, including: two-component epoxy resin, a solvent, a polyether siloxane, and a carbon powder; wherein a mass ratio of the two-component epoxy resin to the solvent is 1:3˜1:5, a mass ratio of the two-component epoxy resin to the carbon powder is 3:1˜6:1, and a mass fraction of the polyether siloxane in the wave-absorbing impregnation glue liquid is 0.05%˜0.2%. A wave-absorbing impregnation glue liquid, a wave-absorbing honeycomb and their preparation methods are further provided.

The substrate having the polyelectrolyte complex applied thereon is treated. The treating reduces salt content of the polyelectrolyte complex. The treating results in a gas-impermeable coating being formed on the substrate.

Abstract: Durable polyurea copolymer coatings can be applied to surfaces that come in contact with fluids, such as biological fluids, thereby passivating the surface. Polyurea copolymer coating compositions comprise a reaction product of (a) a diamine composition that includes a polyethylene glycol diamine, and optionally, a dipiperidyl alkane; and (b) a diisocyanate. Solutions containing polyurea copolymers, coated surfaces and methods are also described.

Abstract: A novel two-step process for batch coating surgical needles with cross-linked silicone coatings is disclosed. The surgical needles are cured using a two-step process. The coatings on the needles are partially cured in the first step and mechanically separated. The coatings on the needles are then fully cured in the second step.
