Abstract: A process for the spraying of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) is presented, which has a comparatively high solids content, onto a surface, thus forming a stable and homogeneous film coating of MFC on said surface. Therein, the MFC of the comparatively high solids content is subjected to a pressure drop in a nozzle, which pressure drop exerts shear pressure onto the MFC, thus lowering the viscosity during the spraying and coating process.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heating cooker using a ceramic heating element and a manufacturing method thereof, the method comprising: a cooker body preparation step; a heating element material preparation step of preparing any one or more selected from among mill scale, steelmaking slag and magnetite (Fe3O4); an inorganic binder preparation step of preparing, as an inorganic binder, a colloidal silica sol having a colloidal silica content of 8 to 30 wt %; a mixing step of mixing 20 to 40 parts by weight of the colloidal silica sol as the inorganic binder with 100 parts by weight of the heating element material, thereby making a heating material paste; an application step of applying the heating element paste to the bottom of the cooker body; and a drying and curing step of drying and curing the heating element paste, thereby forming a solid heating element.

Abstract: A method for selectively modifying a base material surface, includes applying a composition on a surface of a base material to form a coating film. The coating film is heated. The base material includes a surface layer which includes a first region including silicon. The composition includes a first polymer and a solvent. The first polymer includes at an end of a main chain or a side chain thereof, a group including a first functional group capable of forming a bond with the silicon. The first region preferably contains a silicon oxide, a silicon nitride, or a silicon oxynitride. The base material preferably further includes a second region that is other than the first region and that contains a metal; and the method preferably further includes, after the heating, removing with a rinse agent a portion formed on the second region, of the coating film.

Abstract: A coating including polycarbonate-unit-containing polyurethane resin and 5 mass % or more of nonvolatile matter is applied to a traveling metal strip in a state in which the surface temperature of the metal strip is 60° C. or lower. Next, the coating applied to the metal strip is baked at 80-250° C., and a coating film having a film thickness of 0.3 μm or greater is formed on the traveling metal strip. The proportion of polycarbonate units to the total mass of resin in the coating film is 10-80 mass %. The traveling metal strip is then wound after being cooling to a surface temperature of 80° C. or lower.
