Abstract:
A wiring module for electrically connecting a plurality of electric parts disposed on an equipment frame to a source of electric power, the module comprising an elongated insulating substrate formed to extend along a path adjacent to electric parts disposed on the frame. A pattern of wiring conductors extends along and integral with the insulating substrate for conducting electric current from the source of electric power to each of the electric parts to be connected. The insulating substrate has one or more edge portions provided with protrusions integrally formed with the substrate and extending laterally therefrom. The protrusions each are positioned on the insulating substrate at a location adjacent an electric part to be connected and at least a portion of the wiring conductors are integral with the protrusions to provide a contact on the protrusions for connection to corresponding electric parts.
Abstract:
By sealing the periphery of a printed circuit board, the previously exposed edges of the board are substantially prevented from moisture wicking. This sealing of the periphery can be made concurrently with the plating of through-holes on the board. With this process, current leakage paths due to board moisture wicking within the board is significantly reduced.
Abstract:
A novel and improved keyboard-operated electronic apparatus is shown to incorporate at least two printed circuit boards and to utilize novel and advantageous means for electrically interconnecting selected circuit paths on the two boards. A novel and improved method for assembling the keyboard-operated electronic apparatus is also shown. In the disclosed method and apparatus, a strip of normally shape-retaining but bendable electrically-conductive metal material is blanked to form a plurality of normally shape-retaining but bendable leads which are held in spaced, side-by-side, parallel relation to each other by integral web portions of the strip material. Preferably the leads are blanked in a selected configuration providing the leads with a common, preferential bending direction. Corresponding first ends of the leads are then inserted into apertures in a first printed circuit board such as a printed circuit keyboard and are simultaneously soldered to selected circuit paths on the first board, preferably at the same time that all keyboard components are soldered to said circuit paths. The web portions of the strip material are then cut from the leads for separating the leads and, while the leads are retained in spaced, side-byside parallel relation to each other in the first board, the opposite ends of the leads are inserted into apertures in a second printed circuit board such as a board mounting selected electronic components and are simultaneously soldered to selected circuit paths on the second board, preferably at the same time that all of the noted electronic components are soldered to the circuit paths on the second board. The leads are then bent in their common, preferential bending direction to adjustably dispose the two printed circuit boards in closely spaced parallel relation to each other to form a light, compact, easily repairable, and inexpensive apparatus.
Abstract:
An edge connector includes a first row of golden fingers and a second row of golden fingers. The first row of golden fingers is adjacent to a plugging end of the edge connector, and the second row of golden fingers is adjacent to the first row of golden fingers. In a plugging direction of the edge connector, each golden finger in the first row of golden fingers has a first end proximate to the plugging end and a second end opposite to the first end. A first end of a grounded golden finger in the first row of golden fingers is protruded from other golden fingers, and second ends of two or more than two golden fingers in the first row of golden fingers are not aligned with each other.
Abstract:
A display device includes a base film including a first region and a plurality of second regions having the first region therebetween; an inorganic insulating film on the base film, the inorganic insulating film being in contact with the plurality of second regions of the base film; a plurality of first pixels overlapping the first region; and a plurality of second pixels overlapping the plurality of second regions with the inorganic insulating film being between the plurality of second pixels and the plurality of second regions. The inorganic insulating film is divided by the first region and is discontinuous between the plurality of second regions.
Abstract:
A printed circuit board (PCB) structure and mounting assembly for joining two PCBs. A first PCB has a top and bottom surface faces and a peripheral end face separating the top and bottom surface. The first PCB has one or more conductive wire ends exposed at a surface of the peripheral end face; the exposed conductive wire ends forming multiple separate electrical contacts across the thickness and length of the PEF surface. A second PCB has a top surface face and one or more conductive pads exposed at the top surface at locations corresponding to locations of the multiple electrical contacts. A surface mount solder material is disposed on one or more exposed conductive pads for electrically connecting with corresponding the multiple electrical contacts. The disposed solder material stably joins the PEF surface of the first PCB to the top surface of the second PCB in a relative perpendicular orientation.
Abstract:
A proximity sensor in which generation of voids in a resin sealing portion sealing an inside of a housing can be suppressed and thus a yield is improved. The proximity sensor includes a housing, a detection coil, a circuit board and a resin sealing portion. The circuit board is accommodated in the housing to partition an internal space of the housing, and the resin sealing portion covers at least a part of the circuit board by filling the internal space of the housing and thus seals a covered portion of the circuit board. A resin injection port configured to inject a liquid resin forming the resin sealing portion by curing the liquid resin is provided in the housing, and a cutout portion having a notch shape or an opening shape is provided in the circuit board to include at least a part of a portion facing the resin injection port.
Abstract:
A connector module is mounted at a portable electronic device. The portable electronic device includes a housing and a circuit board. The circuit board is disposed in the housing, and the housing has an opening. The connector module includes a switch component, a connector and a button assembly. The switch component is disposed at the housing and is electrically connected with the circuit board. The connector is movably disposed between the opening and the switch component, and the connector is electrically connected with the circuit. The connector is for accommodating an IC card, so that the IC card is capable of being electrically connected with the circuit board via the connector. The button assembly is inserted at the opening and abuts against the connector, and drives the connector to touch the switch component when being pressed.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a flexible printed circuit has a first circuit substrate and a second circuit substrate extending over the first circuit substrate. The first circuit substrate has a connector area. The second circuit substrate has an opening and an adhesive layer. The opening allows the connector area to be exposed. The opening has an opening edge which has a predetermined shape and defines the opening. The second circuit substrate has in the opening a depressed portion depressed deeper than the opening edge. Among various constituents of the second circuit substrate, at least the adhesive layer is depressed from the opening edge at the depressed portion.
