    Abstract: Proceso para preparar cloro mediante oxidacion de fase de gas catalitica de cloruro de hidrogeno sobre un lecho de catalizador fijo, que comprende los pasos de: a) poner disponible una corriente de gas de alimentacion que comprende cloruro de hidrogeno y una corriente II de gas de alimentacion que contiene oxigeno; b) alimentar la corriente I de gas de alimentacion, la corriente II de gas de alimentacion, si se desea una corriente Ia reciclada que comprende cloruro de hidrogeno, su se desea una corriente IIa reciclada que contiene oxigeno y una corriente III reciclada hacia una zona de oxidacion y oxidar cloruro de hidrogeno a cloro en presencia de un catalizador presente en un lecho fijo para proporcionar una corriente IV de gas de producto que comprende cloro, oxigeno no reaccionado, cloruro de hidrogeno no reaccionado y vapor de agua; c) tomar la corriente III reciclada de la corriente IV de gas de producto y recircularla a la zona de oxidacion, dejando una corriente IVa de gas de producto. La relacion de las corrientes III/IVa es generalmente de 0.005 a 3, de preferencia de 0.2 a 1.5 y particularmente de preferencia de 0.4 a 1. La corriente III de reciclado es de preferencia atraida por una o mas de las corrientes I II y, si es aplicable IIa de gas, por medio de una boquilla de chorro.
