Abstract: A variable valve lift apparatus of an automotive engine is provided to control the valve lift consecutively because the control motor is controlled by the ECU(Electronic Control Unit). A variable valve lift apparatus of an automotive engine comprises swing arms(6,8) in which one side is supported by hydraulic tappets(10,12), and the other side runs inlet valves(2,4), control shoes(20,22) in which when is rotated the inlet valve, bottom pressurizes rollers(14,16), a cam contact roller(32) which is contacted of the cam-shaft in the interval of the control shoe, vertical links(34,36) which dig, support the adherent roller in the either side, a control shaft(42) which is combined in order to be rotated in one side of the control shoe on cam-shaft without interference, and a control motor(46) driving the sector gear.

Abstract: A variable valve system is provided to open and close a valve with a low lift mode by rotating a low lift cam through the separation of an outer body and an inner body. Abstract: A variable valve operating system is provided to improve functions of a variable valve by constructing a valve device to have a mechanical structure instead of a hydraulic structure. A variable valve operating system comprises a cam follower(50) and a valve device. The cam follower includes an inner body(65) and an outer body. A locking member(60) is formed at one end of the inner body. The outer body surrounds a lateral portion of the inner body and is latched with the inner body by a latching device(70). If the inner body is latched with the outer body by the latching device, the inner and outer bodies perform the see-saw movement about a driving cam, thereby lifting an intake/exhaust valve(95) connected to the driving cam by a lost motion pin(90).

Abstract: A continuously variable valve lift system in an engine is provided to reduce a volume of the engine by adjusting the entire height of a cylinder head at a lower level. A continuously variable valve lift system in an engine includes a cam shaft(12), a rotary adjustment mechanism(14), a bearing member(18), a resilient member(20), and a rocker arm(22). The cam shaft is installed at a cylinder head to be linked to a crankshaft, and has a plurality of cams for opening/closing suction/discharge valves. The rotary adjustment mechanism has a first contact part variably adjusted according to an operation state of the engine and having a predetermined radius of curvature. The bearing member is pressed by the cam and the first contact part of the rotary adjustment mechanism to vary a moving trajectory in a dependent manner. The resilient member resiliently adheres the bearing member, the cam, and the rotary adjustment mechanism to each other. The rocker arm is installed to press the suction/discharge valves.
