Abstract:
In a phase change memory (100), the memory array may be written in relatively small chunks. The writing of data to the array and, particularly, the writing of set data, may be accelerated using a hardware accelerator (14). The hardware accelerator includes an edge detector (17) which detects a short duration signal pulse to trigger the writing of the set data to a cell. As a result, the writing of data may be accelerated, reducing the time to write in some cases.

A process for manufacturing a membrane of nozzles of a spray device, comprising the steps of laying a substrate (11), forming a membrane layer (13) on the substrate (11), forming a plurality of nozzles (14) in the membrane layer (13), forming a plurality of supply channels (15) in the substrate (10), each supply channel being substantially aligned in a vertical direction to a respective nozzle (14) of the plurality of nozzles and in direct communication with the respective nozzle.
Abstract:
A simple and effective method and a related device for detecting a pressure peak value during a pressure cycle in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine is proposed. An accelerometer is installed on the engine body for sensing vibrations of the engine during its functioning and a band-pass replica of the output acceleration signal is compared with a threshold and an active logic flag is generated when the threshold is exceeded. The band-pass filtered replica of the acceleration signal is obtained by filtering out frequency components smaller than about 1 kHz and larger than about 2 kHz.
Abstract:
A back contacted photovoltaic cell composed of an integrated diode structure of polycrystalline silicon (briefly polysilicon) or in any case of silicon in a at least partially crystalline state, processed according to a so called thin film technology, that is not requiring the use of silicon wafer or of multi micron-thick layers of silicon wafer separated from a mother wafer, and a relative process of fabrication, are disclosed.
Abstract:
A magnetic sensor is formed by a fluxgate sensor and by at least one Hall sensor integrated in a same integrated device, wherein the magnetic core of the fluxgate sensor is formed by a magnetic region that operates also as a concentrator for the Hall sensor. The magnetic region is manufactured in a post-machining stage on the metallization layers wherein the energizing coil and sensing coil of the fluxgate sensor are formed; the energizing and sensing coils are formed on a semiconductor substrate housing the conductive regions of the Hall sensor.
Abstract:
An image generating pipeline (IGP) includes a digital signal processor for implementing processing blocks connected in cascade for processing an input image that includes an array of raw pixel values to generate a color image that includes an array of reconstructed pixel values. A memory is coupled to the digital signal processor for storing the raw pixel values and the array of reconstructed pixel values. The digital signal processor includes a data cache, and the raw pixel values of the input image are processed through the processing blocks in sub-arrays having fractional dimensions of the pixel dimensions of the whole image array. The sub-arrays include an input sub-array of pixel values being loaded from the memory for defining a working window. The sub-arrays of raw pixel values have a row-wise dimension of at least a fraction of a full row of the input image, and a column-wise dimension equal to or larger than a column-wise filtering action of a respective processing block to which the input sub-array is input. The digital signal processor outputs at least one fraction of full rows of completely reconstructed pixel values of the input image for storing in the memory.
