Abstract: Procedimiento para la preparación de sales de ácido acrilamido-2-metilo-propanosulfónico (A) que comprende los pasos de: a) preparar una solución de una sal no purificada del ácido acrilamido-2-metilo-propanosulfónico (A) en un disolvente orgánico anhidro (L) , usando al menos un componente básico (B), seleccionados del grupo de óxidos de metal alcalino, óxidos de metal alcalinotérreo, hidróxidos de metal alcalino, hidróxidos de metal alcalinotérreo y aminas de la fórmula general (I) NRa Rb Rc (I) en la cual los residuos Ra, Rb y Rc significan independientemente entre sí: hidrógeno, alquilo de C1-C4, hidroxialquilo de C1-C4 o alcoxi de C1-C4, en donde la proporción molar del compuesto (A) al componente básico (B) se encuentra preferentemente en 1:1 a 1:3, b) dado el caso retirar de manera parcial el disolvente orgánico (L) a una presión en el intervalo de 0,1 a 200 kPa (abs), c) recuperar la sal suelta del compuesto (A) mediante cristalización o mediante precipitación cambiando la temperatura y/o la presión y/o la concentración de la sal en la solución, d) dado el caso secar la sal purificada del ácido acrilamido-2-metilo-propanosulfónico (A).
