An electronic component has a main body and an electrode that is provided on the main body and configured to be joined to a circuit board with a conductor. The main body includes a connecting portion, which is configured to be connected to a connecting member, a fitting portion that is allowed to be fitted to a receiving portion provided in the circuit board, and a contacting portion, which is allowed to contact a surface of the circuit board.

A full bridge circuit composed of four switching elements (Q1 to Q4) is alternated with a high switching frequency and a series-connected resonance circuit (5) composed of an inductor (L2) and a capacitor (C2) is made to resonate for a switching frequency of the full bridge circuit multiplied by an integer (for example, frequency multiplied by three), thereby generating a high voltage pulse for start. After a high-pressure discharge lamp (DL) is started, the full bridge circuit is alternated with a low switching frequency so as to operate as a step-down chopper for inverting the output polarity, thereby stably supplying rectangular wave voltage of low frequency to the high-pressure discharge lamp (DL) via a filter circuit composed of an inductor (L1) and a capacitor (C1).

Un commutateur, notamment pour régler le régime de moteurs électriques ou similaires, comprend un élément de résistance monté en surface qui sert de piste de résistance pour régler le régime. L'avantage de cette construction est le fait que la plaquette de circuits imprimés et la piste de résistance peuvent être fabriquées séparément et peuvent être individuellement optimisées. On peut mettre en oeuvre des procédés modernes de fabrication, tels que le montage automatique en surface des composants et l'égalisation au laser, indépendamment du montage usuel de la plaquette de circuits imprimés, ce qui permet de fabriquer économiquement le commutateur en grandes séries.
