Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing cyclopentenones from dicarboxylic acids. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a process for preparing 2-cyclopentenones of general formula 1 [in the formula R 1 to R 4 are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, a cycloalkyl, a cycloalkenyl, an aralkylene or an aryl group], by converting hexenedioic acids and/or their esters (for example, 3-hexene-1, 6-dioic acid) at temperatures of from 150 to 450°C., over solid oxide catalysts, wherein the catalysts on an oxide carrier material comprise from 0.01 to 5% by weight of at least one alkali metal oxide. Abstract:
The invention relates to a catalyst containing from 0.1 to 20 mass % rhenium and 0.05 to 10 mass % platinum in relation to the total mass thereof. The inventive method for producing a support for said catalyst consists in a) treating a support which can be eventually pre-treated with the aid of a solution of rhenium compound, b) drying and annealing said support at a temperature ranging from 80 to 600 DEG C, and c) impregnating the support with a solution of platinum compound and in drying it. The inventive method for producing alcohol by catalytic hydrogenation of carbonyl compound on said catalyst is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A process for hydrogenating an organic compound which has at least one carbonyl group, in which the organic compound is hydrogenated in the presence of a shaped article which contains (i) an oxidic material comprising copper oxide, aluminum oxide and lanthanum oxide, and (ii) powdered metallic copper, copper flakes, powdered cement, graphite or a mixture thereof, is provided.
Abstract:
A supported catalyst (I) containing 0.1-20 wt.% rhenium and 0.05-10 wt.% platinum (with respect to the total weight of the catalyst) is prepared by: (a) treatment of the optionally pretreated support with a solution of a rhenium compound; (b) drying and heating in a reducing atmosphere at 80-600 degreesC and; (c) impregnation with a solution of a platinum compound and drying. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of alcohols by catalytic hydrogenation of carbonyl compounds using the catalyst (I).
