Abstract: A transfer and coating apparatus transfers a component from a conveyor to a coating station for application of a coating. The transfer apparatus includes a mast that can move about orthogonal axes in a horizontal plane and a mast having a carriage that can move vertically. The carriage includes a hook that swings about a horizontal axis relative to the mast for movement of the component in the horizontal direction. A sway bar extends between the hook and component to inhibit movement about a horizontal axis. The component is delivered to an upper compartment of a coating apparatus where it can be lowered in to a lower compartment containing coating material. Excess coating material is removed by an array of nozzles in the upper compartment as the component is raised from the coating material.

Abstract: Embodiments are described herein to monitor and synchronize dispense systems for processing systems. For one embodiment, pressure and flow rate sensors are used to determine a delay between a flow change event and an increase in flow rate, and this delay is used to detect defects or conditions within the dispense system. For one embodiment, dispense system operation is synchronized using flow rate sensors. For one embodiment, simulation models or complex dispense profiles based upon combined pressure/flow/spin/concentration sensor data are used to enable complex process recipes. For one embodiment, dispense-to-dispense pressure and/or flow rate measurements are used to detect dispense parameters and defects. For one embodiment, cameras and image processing are used to detect flow rates from the dispense nozzle, and dispense-to-dispense measurements are used to detect dispense parameters and defects. One or more of the disclosed embodiments can be used in processing systems for microelectronic workpieces.

Abstract: The apparatus prepares a downhole tool component, particularly a slip for a plug that seals zones in a wellbore. The apparatus includes a casing holder, a cone insert, and a cap. There is a bottom center connector to hold the cone insert within the casing holder. There are a plurality of spacing bolts, and a top center connector to hold the slip within the space between the cap, the cone insert, and the casing holder. The top center connector can adjust distance between the slip and the cone insert so that the coating on the ramp surface of the slip has a uniform thickness. The invention includes the method of using the apparatus to prepare the slip with coating of uniform thickness to removably engage another component of the apparatus.

Abstract: A painting support assembly includes a tripod and a mounting block that is coupled to the tripod. The mounting block has a pair of channels integrated into the mounting block. A pair of extension blocks is provided and each of the extension blocks has an engagement which slidably engages a respective one of the channels in the mounting block. In this way the overall width of the mounting block is increased to support a small panel in a horizontal position for painting. A plate is positionable on top of the extension blocks and the mounting block and plate includes grips which engage the extension blocks. The plate supports a large panel in a horizontal position to facilitate painting the large panel.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for preventing oxidation or contamination during a circuit printing operation. The circuit printing operation can be directed to OLED-type printing. In an exemplary embodiment, the printing process is conducted at a load-locked printer housing having one or more of chambers. Each chamber is partitioned from the other chambers by physical gates or fluidic curtains. A controller coordinates transportation of a substrate through the system and purges the system by timely opening appropriate gates. The controller may also control the printing operation by energizing the print-head at a time when the substrate is positioned substantially thereunder.
