Abstract: A field of environmental protection and discloses a method for preparing an amorphous silica-alumina encapsulated metal oxide catalyst and application thereof. The catalyst is prepared by filling silica-alumina precursors in tunnels of a monometallic or bimetallic complex and then performing heat treatment. The catalyst has the advantages that acidic sites and oxygen vacancies are highly dispersed, the pore size range is large and the mass transfer efficiency is high, improves the efficiency of a cracking-oxidation tandem reaction, and achieves full purification of carbon/nitrogen pollutants in landfill leachate. The COD removal rate of the landfill leachate reaches 98.3% or above, and the ammonia nitrogen removal rate thereof reaches 98.0% or above. The COD concentration of oxypyrolysis purified effluent is less than 98.7 mg/L and the ammonia nitrogen concentration thereof is less than 24.9 mg/L.

Abstract: A process for converting crude oil to light olefins, aromatics, or both, includes contacting a crude oil with an FCC catalyst composition in a catalytic cracking system at a temperature of greater than or equal to 580° C., a weight ratio of the FCC catalyst to the crude oil of from 2:1 to 10:1, and a residence time of from 0.1 seconds to 60 seconds. Contacting causes at least a portion of hydrocarbons in the crude oil to undergo cracking reactions to produce a cracked effluent comprising at least olefins. The FCC catalyst composition for producing olefins and aromatics from crude oil includes ultrastable Y-type zeolite impregnated with lanthanum, ZSM-5 zeolite impregnated with phosphorous, an alumina binder, colloidal silica, and a matrix material comprising Kaolin clay.

Abstract: Methods for synthesizing a water-soluble titanium-silicon complex are disclosed herein. The titanium-silicon complex can be utilized to produce titanated solid oxide supports and titanated chromium supported catalysts. The titanated chromium supported catalysts subsequently can be used to polymerize olefins to produce, for example, ethylene based homopolymer and copolymers.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a catalyst which comprises a silica core having an outer surface and a mesoporous silica shell having an outer surface and an inner surface with the inner surface being inside the outer surface of said mesoporous silica shell proximate to and surrounding the outer surface of said silica core. Wherein the outer surface of the mesoporous silica shell has openings leading to pores within the mesoporous silica shell which extend toward the outer surface of said silica core. The catalyst also includes catalytically active metal nanoparticles positioned within the pores proximate to said core, wherein the catalytic metal nanoparticles comprise about 0.0001 wt % to about 1.0 wt % of the catalyst. Also disclosed are methods of making the catalyst and using it to carry out a process for catalytically hydrogenolysizing a polyolefinic polymer.

Abstract: A method comprising a) drying a support material comprising silica at temperature in the range of from about 150° C. to about 220° C. to form a dried support; b) contacting the dried support with methanol to form a slurried support; c) subsequent to b), cooling the slurried support to a temperature of less than about 60° C. to form a cooled slurried support; d) subsequent to c), contacting the cooled slurried support with a titanium alkoxide to form a titanated support; and e) thermally treating the titanated support by heating to a temperature of equal to or greater than about 150° C. for a time period of from about 5 hours to about 30 hours to remove the methanol and yield a dried titanated support.

Abstract: Disclosed is a catalyst useful for producing organic amines by catalytic amination, its preparation and application thereof, wherein the catalyst comprises an inorganic porous carrier containing aluminum and/or silicon and an active metal component supported on the carrier, the active metal component comprises at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Group VIII and Group IB metals, and the carrier has an ammonia adsorption capacity of 0.25 to 0.65 mmol/g, as measured by NH3-TPD test. The catalyst has an improved performance, when used for producing organic amines by catalytic amination.
