Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to wide spectrum optical systems and devices for use in multispectral imaging systems and applications and in particular, wide spectrum optical assemblies that are implemented using low cost, first surface mirrors in an optical framework that enables real-time viewing of an image in multiple spectral bands simultaneously over the same optical centerline with one main optical element.
Abstract:
A measurement system is capable of accurately aligning the corresponding measurement points of a plurality of measurement targets to evaluate the measurement targets from measurement results. A measurement system includes a measuring instrument and a PC, the measuring instrument includes a spectroscopic unit that measures a measurement point of a measurement target and a camera that images surroundings in real-time. The PC displays an evaluation image of continuous image information, which is imaged and displayed by the camera on a display screen so as to be superimposed on a reference image of still image information, which has been imaged and stored in memory. By comparing the data obtained by measuring the measurement point in the evaluation image when both images overlap each other and the measurement data of the point in the reference image, it is possible to perform positioning easily and compare the measurement data.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an imaging apparatus including: a spectroscopic measurement section configured to measure a spectral characteristic of a subject; a spectral image capture section configured to capture a subject image separated into a plurality of colors through color separation to create a plurality of spectral images; and a color separation characteristic determining section configured to determine a color separation characteristic to be used for image capturing of the spectral image capture section, based on the spectral characteristic of the subject measured by the spectroscopic measurement section. The color separation characteristic determining section determines a count of color separations in the image capturing of the spectral image capture section and spectral bands corresponding to each of the color separations.

A spectral colorimetric apparatus includes a housing which includes a side wall. An outer surface of the side wall is an adjustment surface capable of adjusting a position of a linear sensor by moving while attaching the linear sensor to the adjustment surface. The linear sensor is supported by the side wall of the housing while abutting on the adjustment surface and receives alight beam that is dispersed by a concave surface reflection type diffraction element and passes through an opening portion. The adjustment surface is parallel to a tangential line at a part of a Rowland circle of the concave surface reflection type diffraction element, through which a light beam received by the linear sensor passes.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for a system and method for analyzing questioned documents. A sample document is illuminated to thereby generate a first plurality of interacted photons. The first plurality of interacted photons are detected at a first detector to thereby generate a digital image. The digital image is analyzed to thereby identify at least one region of interest of the sample document. This region of interest is illuminated to thereby generate a second plurality of interacted photons. This second plurality of interacted photons are passed through a tunable filter and detected at a second detector to thereby generate a hyperspectral image representative of the region of interest. The hyperspectral image may then be analyzed to evaluate changes to or differentiate different inks present in the sample document. Chemometric techniques such as k-means clustering, PCA, and/Or PLSDA may also be applied.
Abstract:
Snapshot spectral imagers comprise an imaging lens, a dispersed image sensor and a restricted isometry property (RIP) diffuser inserted in the optical path between the source image and the image sensor. The imagers are used to obtain a plurality of spectral images of the source object in different spectral bands in a single shot. In some embodiments, the RIP diffuser is one dimensional. An optional disperser may be added in the optical path, to provide further dispersion at the image sensor. In some embodiments, all imager components except the RIP diffuser may be part of a digital camera, with the RIP diffuser added externally. In some embodiments, the RIP diffuser may be included internally in a digital camera.
