Abstract: A light sensing device includes: a light sensitive layer having a phosphor with two different types of lanthanides dopant ions, switching between a first state and a second state; one or more optical filters on top of the light sensitive layer. When the dopant ions are in the second state after exposure of the light sensitive layer to the second light energy, the light sensitive layer measures a first light intensity of light of the first light energy. When the dopant ions are in the first state after exposure of the light sensitive layer to the first light energy, the light sensitive layer measures a second light intensity of light of the second light energy.

Abstract: A wearable UV sensor includes a UV pass filter; a UV phosphor material; and a visible light sensing device, wherein the UV sensor is configured to receive light including visible light and UV light, wherein the UV pass filter directs the UV light to the UV phosphor material and the UV phosphor material fluoresces visible light in proportion to the UV light from the UV pass filter, and the visible light sensing device measures the visible light fluorescing from the UV phosphor material to determine the amount of the UV light entering the sensor, which correlates to the UV exposure of a subject wearing the UV sensor.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a measuring and compensating method for channel mismatch of an ultra-high speed time-wavelength interleaved optical pulse sequence, by employing a generating module of the to-be tested ultra-high speed time-wavelength interleaved optical pulse sequence, an optical spectrum measuring module, an electrical frequency measuring module, and a data analyzing and processing module. The present invention obtains mismatch information of the pulse sequence for each channel by means of measurement and analysis of the ultra-high speed time-wavelength interleaved optical pulse sequence, thus overcoming the bottleneck of inadequate sampling of time-domain observation via an oscilloscope. The channel mismatch information obtained by the present invention may act as a basis for channel mismatch compensation and correction for the ultra-high speed time-wavelength interleaved optical pulse sequence.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for maintaining consistent lumen output of a lighting assembly over time. By maintaining a consistent lumen output, it is possible to maintain acceptable color stability where color mixing of multiple outputs is used. The lighting assembly may be any lighting configuration that might suffer from lumen depreciation and/or color drift over time, and may include any type(s) of light source(s) that may be monitored and driven accordingly. The lighting assembly, in addition to light source(s), includes a photo detector and a directed light source, such as a laser. The directed light source provides a golden sample for use in calibrating the photo detector, which in turn monitors lumen output of the light source(s). Drive signals are adjusted to account for lumen depreciation of the monitored light source(s).
