CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating liver diseases contains dried powder of sea urchin, polar solvent soluble extract or polar solvent insoluble residue of the dried powder as an active ingredient. The sea urchin includes Anthocidaris crassispina, Hemicentrotus pulcherrimus, Pseudocentrotus depressus or Strongylocentrotus internmedius. The sea urchin includes eggs, intestine or shell. The polar solvent soluble extract contains an extract obtained using water, low alcohol or mixture solvent thereof.

PURPOSE: A composition containing dried powder of sand lance fraction or its extract is provided to suppress pain using an animal model by inducing acetic acid pain test, heat plate and tail flick test. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating pain contains dried powder or its extract of sand lance fraction as an active ingredient. The extract of sand lance fraction is obtained by heating the sand lance fraction at 60°C-150°C for 12 to 48 hours. The pain is the headache, toothache, backache, burn ache, neuralgia, period pains or arthralgia. The pharmaceutical composition contains 0.1-50 weight% of the dried powder or its extract based on the total weight.

CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing collagen isolated from the skin of bigeye tuna comprises: a step for washing the skin of the bigeye tuna which is stored at -30 °C to -100 °C; a step for treating the skin with 0.05 ~ 10.0 %(w/v) of alkali solution; a step for washing and neutralizing with distilled water; a step for adding 0.05 ~ 10.0 N of acid to the skin, then stirring and extracting; a step for separating extracted liquid and residue using a centrifuge; and a step for drying to obtain acid soluble collagen (AC); a step for adding 0.5 ~ 5.0 N of acid; a step for adding 0.5 ~ 10% of pepsin and stirring and hydrolyzing for 1 to 60 hours; a step for separating extract liquid and residue using a filter; a step for adding NaCl to adjust the concentration to 1-10 % and neutralizing precipitates; and a step for freeze-drying to obtain a pepsin soluble collagen (PC).

Cuttlebone powder or an extract thereof is provided to inhibit gastrointestinal ulcer, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food for preventing and treating gastrointestinal diseases. A method for preparing an extract of a cuttlebone comprises the steps of: (a) drying and crushing the cuttlebone to obtain cuttlebone powder; (b) after reacting the cuttlebone powder with about 1-30 times of water, an aqueous solution of NaOH or an aqueous solution of HCl at a temperature of 20-100 deg.C for about 1-24 hour(s), separating a reaction solution and remnants; and (c) after neutralizing and desalinating the reaction solution, concentrating and freeze-drying it. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of flatfish sik-hae(flatfish fermented with grains) containing salt obtained from deep sea water comprises the following steps: removing head, intestines, and tail from flatfish, and washing and cutting the flatfish; adding 5-20%(w/w) of salt obtained from the deep sea water for salting the flatfish in a low temperature aging chamber at 0-20 deg C for 1-60 hours, and washing the salted flatfish; removing the moisture from the flatfish, and mixing the flatfish with red pepper powder, minced garlic, ginger juice, and cooked millet before aging at 1-50 deg C for 1-30 days; and adding sugar, salt, and pickled radish slices to the aged flatfish, and aging the mixture at 1-50 deg C for 1 day.
