    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing alkyne diols by reacting ketones with acetylenic hydrocarbons in an organic solvent in the presence of a base which contains potassium alcoholates of primary and/or secondary alcohols. The alkyne diols are produced while forming adducts which precipitate out of the reaction mixture and which are comprised of alkyne monoalcohols and/or alkyne diols and a base. The stoichiometries of the reaction partners are selected such that gelatinous adducts are formed which comprise a spherical surface, whereby the reaction mixture remains agitable during the entire reaction.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing at least one unsaturated alcohol (B). The method comprises the following steps (I) to (III): (I) reaction of at least one alkali or alkaline earth hydroxide with at least one alcohol (A) in at least one organic solvent (L) so that a mixture (G-I) is obtained which contains at least the alcohol (A), the solvent (L) and an alcoholate (AL); (II) reaction of at least one carbonyl compound of the general structure R-CO-R' with at least one alkine of the general structure R"-CC-H and the mixture (G-I) obtained in step (I) above, so that a mixture (G-II) is obtained which contains at least the alcohol (A), the solvent (L) and an unsaturated alcohol (B); and (III) distillation of the mixture (G-II) obtained in step (II) above so that the at least one alcohol (B) and a mixture (G-III) containing the solvent (L) and the alcohol (A), are obtained. Said method is characterized in that the solvent (L) and the alcohol (A) obtained in step (III) are fed back to step (I) as a mixture.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a continuous process for producing pseudoionones of general formulas (I) and (I') as well as isomers thereof, whereby: R 1 represents CH 3 or (a); R 2 and R 3 represent hydrogen, CH 3 or C 2 H 5 , and; R 4 and R 5 represent hydrogen or CH 3 . These pseudoionones are produced by reacting an aldehyde of formula (II) with an excess of a ketone of general formula (III), whereby R 1 , R 2 and R 3 have the aforementioned meanings, in the presence of water and alkali hydroxide at an increased temperature and in a homogeneous solution. The inventive process is characterized in that: a) the intermixing of the homogeneous solution consisting of aldehyde, ketone and aqueous alkali lye occurs at a temperature ranging from 10 to 120° C.; b) the undissolved water and alkali hydroxide contained in the reaction mixture are subsequently separated out; c) while avoiding back mixing, the homogeneous reaction mixture is then guided through a reactor, which permits a residence time ranging from 2 to 300 minutes, at a temperature that is 10 to 120° C. higher than the boiling point of the lowest-boiling component and under a vapor pressure p ranging from 10 6 to 10 7 Pa; d) the reaction mixture is cooled by expansion; e) ketone is removed from the reaction mixture using vapor flowing in the opposite direction and; f) the raw product is dried and rid from excessive aldehyde and secondary components via a rectification column.
