Abstract: A micro piezoresistive pressure sensor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify a manufacturing process by forming a semiconductor integrated circuit for processing a sensing signal and a pressure sensor structure in one silicon board. A micro piezoresistive pressure sensor includes a silicon board(100), a cavity(110), a membrane layer(120) and a sensing layer(130). The cavity is buried in the silicon board. The membrane layer has a laminate structure of a multi layer and seals the cavity. The sensing layer is formed in the upper part of the membrane layer. One or more semiconductor integrated circuits are positioned in the part except for the cavity of the silicon board.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A micro heat pipe having a section of polygonal structure using protrusion and drawing processes is provided to obtain the micro heat pipe suitable for electronic equipment of small and thin structure. CONSTITUTION: A micro heat pipe is manufactured through a drawing process. The micro heat pipe comprises a pipe having a section of polygonal structure. Each face constituting the polygonal structure is formed as a plane or a curved surface. A liquid actuating fluid flows by the capillary force generated from each edge(101) of the inside of the pipe. One of each face(100) constituting the polygonal structure is plane. The section of the pipe is a triangle or a square. The micro heat pipe is manufactured through a simple drawing process and an extrusion process, and excellent capillary force is secured by changing the structure of the pipe. Accordingly, excellent cooling effect is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing mandrel for sintered wick is provided to manufacture the mandrel easily removed after sintering the wick in an electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: coating boron nitride ceramic powder, parting agent, on a periphery of a stainless metal rod(9) made of stainless steel by dip-coating method; inserting the coated metal rod in a heat pipe; filling metal power between the heat pipe and the stainless metal rod; sintering the metal powder; and drawing the stainless metal rod. The stainless metal rod, a mandrel, is easily removed from a wick after sintering.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A cylindrical screen wick with rhombic lattice structure and heat pipe applying the same are provided to be easily installed and to efficiently attach the wick to a wall of a pipe. CONSTITUTION: Wiry materials composing a screen wick(120) are manufactured not by rectangular weaving method but by slant weaving method to have elasticity in longitudinal direction and radial direction. The wiry materials are separated from each other and formed in rhombic lattice structure to have elasticity so that the screen wick is closely attached on an inside of a heat pipe. The screen wick is cylindrical and has a circular section. The screen wicks are layered on each other to efficiently radiate heat.
