    Abstract: PURPOSE: A polyarylene-based polymer is provided to have high hydrogen ion conductivity, to have excellent chemical stability and dimensional stability, and to especially manufacture a fuel cell with excellent long term durability. CONSTITUTION: A polyarylene-based polymer comprises a repeating unit indicated in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, each of R^1-R^4 is independently -H, -SO3R, -PO(OH)2, -F, -CN, a C1~20 alkyl group, C1~20 alkoxy group, C6~18 aryl group, or C1~20 acyl group, where R of -SO3R is hydrogen, a C1-20 alkyl group, C1-20 alkoxy group, C6-18 aryl group or C1-20 acyl group, each of k is independently an integer from 1-5, n is an integer from 1-99. The weight average molecular weight of the polyarylene-based polymer is 10,000-1,000,000.
