    Abstract: - Solid laundry detergent formulation contains (A) 1-30 wt.% inorganic builder based on carbonate, (B) 0-12 wt.% inorganic builder based on crystalline or amorphous aluminosilicates and/or silicates, (C) 0-5 wt.% inorganic builder based on phosphate, (D) 1-40 wt.% glycine-N,N-diacetic acid derivative(s) of formula (I) as organic builder, (E) 0-40 wt.% anionic surfactant and (F) 0.5-50 wt.% non-ionic surfactant; in which R = (a) 1-30 carbon (C) alkyl or 2-30 C alkenyl (which may have up to 5 hydroxyl, sulfate, sulfonate, formyl, 1-4 C alkoxy, phenoxy or 1-4 C alkoxycarbonyl substituents and up to 5 non-adjacent oxygen (O) and/or nitrogen (N) atoms in the chain), (b) alkoxylate of the formula -(CH2)k-O-(A O)m-(A O)n-Y, (c) phenyl-(1-20 C)-alkyl, (d) 5-6-membered (un)saturated (benzo)-heterocyclyl with up to 3 hetero-atoms selected from N, O and sulfur (S) in the ring; or (e) -A-CH(COOM)-N(CH2COOM)2; A , A = 2-4 C 1,2-alkylene; Y = hydrogen (H), 1-12 C alkyl, phenyl, 1- 4 C alkoxycarbonyl or sulfo; k = 1, 2 or 3; m, n = 0-50; m+n \- 2; all phenyl and heterocyclic rings R may have

    Abstract: The invention concerns polyacetal-block-containing polymers obtained by polymerizing, in the presence of initiators, carboxylic acid esters containing aldehyde groups and by reacting the polymers with at least bifunctional cross-linking agents, in the presence of acids or Lewis acids and optionally hydrolysing the ester groups thus incorporated in the polymer. The invention also concerns a method of producing polymers containing polyacetal blocks by polymerizing carboxylic acid esters containing aldehyde groups in the presence of initiators and reacting the polyacetals containing terminal hydroxy groups thus obtained with at least bifunctional cross-linking agents, in the presence of acids or Lewis acids, plus the use of the polymers thus obtained as additives in phosphate-free and phosphate-reduced washing and cleaning agents, as scale inhibitors and as dispersants for pigments.
