Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a bonding agent having an average molecular weight in a specified range, excellent mechanical property and a high crosslinking rate, by causing a reaction between specified polyurethane and a specified compound having an amino group reactive to an isocyanate group. CONSTITUTION: Polyurethane is made of 1mol of diol having an average molecular weight of 400-4000, 0.1-10mol of aliphatic/alicyclic diol, 0.01-10mol of aromatic diol, 0.01-2mol of trivalent alcohol, 0.01-8mol of polyvalent alcohol, and diisocyanate having a mol ratio with respect to all hydroxyl groups of 1.05:1 to 1.4:1. Aliphatic/alicyclic diol has 2-18 carbon atoms, and aromatic diol has 8-16 carbon atoms. By causing a reaction between this polyurethane and a compound having a hydroxyl group and an amino group reactive to an isocyanate group, a suitable composition for a crosslinkable coupling agent for forming a magnetic powder layer, containing a material having an average molecular weight of 25000-150000, may be provided.

The noble gas or noble gaseous mixture or more particularly argon is incorporated into the formed metallic thin layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To magnetize a thick magnetic layer by a magnetic head by arraying magnetic fine particles so that the magnetic head has a numeric gradient of the magnetic field strength and indicates a specific value. CONSTITUTION: A numeric gradient of a magnetic field strength H of a head is expressed by formula I, and magnetic fine particles are arrayed so that the magnetic field indicates a maximal magnetic field strength or a strength value close to it at least at each write position on a magnetic recording carrier with respect to a stationarily standardized distance z/g between a head mirror face and an upper face of the magnetic recording carrier. The magnetic fine particles in a magnetic layer are arrayed so that an easy axis forms an inclined angle of 6 to the running direction X of the carrier. The carrier runs in the running direction X=A, while in (b) it runs in the inverse direction X=B, and this brings a vertical gap z to the magnetic head with a head air gap length (g). Thus, a thick magnetic layer can be magnetized by the magnetic head.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To realize an excellent winding by providing tape winding hub device in which individual winding hubs have a winding surface for an individual information carrier tape and an inner gap, and an annular body has a circumferential surface of a reception part having an inner circumferential surface to be fitted to a winding spindle and an inner circumferential surface to be fitted and inserted in an internal gap of the individual winding hub to reduce or automate the attachable/detachable work. CONSTITUTION: A spring member 9 to be brought by a recessed part formed in a substantially U-shape in an upper circumferential surface edge piece and a flange part 7 of an annular body portion 6, is arranged on a circumferential surface of the reception diameter D1. A spring 11 having a hook part on a tip formed as a member 9 has an appropriate spring action stroke (a) in the radial direction, and also has a recessed part to receive the width h of an individual winding hub 10 in the axial direction. When the individual winding hub 10 is pressed onto a hook spring 11 from the right, it is held at the final position. This winding hub 10 and the annular body 5 are formed of an inexpensive thermoplastic resin in a recyclable manner, and the fitting/removing work to/from the annular body 5 of the winding hub 10 can be easily and rapidly achieved.

The fiber is mutually, in particular, mechanically combined, and at least a part of the tape pressing element 8 is formed in the shape of a layer 9. The pressure is uniformly applied to all over the width of the magnetic tape 11 with the layer 9.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a device having a lightweight movable part, which can surely cut a material strip running at a high speed, and which allows a new leading end of a material strip obtained by cutting, to abut against a winding sleeve without damaging and wearing a drive assembly of a cutting knife and an abutting brush. CONSTITUTION: A material strip 1 such as a magnetic tape is led to a winding sleeve 4 by way of turning rollers, and after it is turned around by an about 1/4 of the peripheral surface thereof, the strip is then fed to and wound on another winding sleeve. When the another winding roller becomes full, the material strip is cut by a knife 12 due to operation of a cutting and abutting device including an arm lever, and a newly formed leading end of the material strip is fed to a winding sleeve 4 by means of an abutting brush 13. The knife 12 is attached to the front end of a lever 15 coupled to a shaft 16 at the front end of the arm lever, at a position where the knife 12 does not make contact with the winding sleeve 4 if the leading end of the strip abuts against the winding sleeve at angle in a range from 40 to 50 deg.

A supplement part 8 which is provided with a new cleaning member 21 is attached and the supplement part 8 itself is exchanged. Furthermore, it is desirable that a cleaning member 21 is a band cleaning mat which consists of felt, fleece or velvet materials.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording medium which is constituted of a sheet-shaped polymer substrate and a metallic contact thin layer formed on a treated main surface of the substrate by a PVD method, having 50 to 1000nm thickness, being ferromagnetic and containing cobalt and which causes no cracking, has no internal stress, is uniform and mechanically stable. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic recording medium is constituted of the sheet- shaped polymer substrate at least one main surface of which is pretreated by ion etching and the metallic contact thin layer which is formed on the treated main surface of the substrate by the PVD method, has 50 to 1000nm thickness, is ferromagnetic and contains cobalt. At least the main surfaces of the substrate for the metallic thin layer are denatured in advance by ion etching with a gas containing nitrogen or oxygen.
