    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic head formed by using a magnetoresistance element having a relatively simple structure in which a magnetic flux change is sufficiently interlinked with the magnetoresistance element and having high sensitivity. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic head has a magnetic core 205 constituting a magnetic circuit shielded by a first gap 230 for magnetical coupling to the memory cell of a memory device and a second gap 235 for separating the first and second magnetic poles 240, 245 of the magnetic core 205 and a magnetoresistance means 250 arranged in the region of the second gap 235 for the purpose of reading the memory cell. The magnetic reluctance means 250 is connected to the magnetic core 205 corresponding to the first magnetic pole 240 and the second magnetic pole 245 so as to be connected into the magnetic circuit.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the zerocross of the current of an inductive load without monitoring the current of an exclusive detective resistor in series with inductive load. SOLUTION: To detect the zero-cross of the current of the inductive load Ls driven in voltage mode through the half bridge consisting of a switch on high order side and a switch on low order side driven in opposite phases to each other by PWM signals, the voltage value at the output node A of the half bridge is compared with a fixed reference voltage value Vref, and the direction of the current in the inductive load Ls is judged from the comparison result. The comparison results are sampled cyclically during the period when both the switches mentioned above are off. Then, the zero cross can be detected by the inversion of the comparative value between the two continuous samplings.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a readout circuit which is used for a memory having a differential cell, and which can be used even in memory reading by a reference cell technique and improves a data read speed and low voltage operations. SOLUTION: A readout circuit has two leg parts SX, DX which are connected to between power source terminals Vdd and Vss , and each of the leg parts series- connects an electronic switch SW1 or SW2; a passive element T1 or T2 forming a voltage amplifier which is feedback-connected to a passive element T2 or T1 in another leg part; and a switch load element L1 or L2 to each other. Each of the passive elements is driven via a high impedance circuit element D1 or D2.
