Abstract:
This invention relates to an elastomeric article with improved lubricity and donnablity and reduced stickiness/tackiness. According to the methods of the invention, the internal surface of the elastomeric article is coated with a polyisoprene coating. The coating of the invention is formed from synthetic polyisoprene rubber that may or may not contain minor amounts of other components. The coating is preferably directly bonded to the underlying elastomeric article.
Abstract:
The present invention is a copper film-forming agent containing a copper complex composed of a copper formate and a 5-membered or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound having from 1 to 3 nitrogen atoms, in which the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound has one or two ring structures, the total number of carbon atoms contained in a substituent is from 1 to 5, and an element other than a carbon atom in the compound is not bonded to a hydrogen atom.
Abstract:
A building material product and a method of making building material products, having increased resistance to granule rub off and staining. The building material product comprises a substrate having embedded granules and an acrylic latex coating positioned on the granules, where the polymer of the acrylic latex coating has the repeating structural unit [CH2—C(R1)(R2)], where R1 is hydrogen or C1-C8 alkyl; R2 is hydrogen, cyano or —COOR; and R is a linear or branched hydrocarbon containing 1-22 carbon atoms, with the proviso that R1 and R2 are both not hydrogen. The method includes applying this acrylic latex water based composition to a granule embedded substrate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for wet-chemical processes (cleaning, etching, stripping, coating, dehydration) in a continuous method for flat, thin and fracture-sensitive substrates, the substrate transport and the wet process being effected by media-absorbing rollers.
Abstract:
A system of rollers can transfer fluid from a reservoir to an electrically conductive wire feeding past the reservoir. The system can include a first cylinder that contacts the reservoir and rotates to pick up fluid from the reservoir. A second cylinder can contact the first cylinder and rotate. Fluid can transfer between the first cylinder and the second cylinder. The second cylinder can contact the feeding wire such that the second cylinder applies the fluid to the wire as the wire feeds past the second cylinder. Accordingly, two rotating cylinders can cooperatively transfer fluid from the reservoir to the moving wire.
Abstract:
A functional film having a particular organic film and a particular inorganic film is produced. The functional film is consistently produced and exhibits the intended performance. The functional film production method includes forming an organic film on a surface of a substrate, handling the substrate having the organic film formed thereon so that no member comes in contact with an organic film surface in vacuum until formation of an inorganic film, and forming the inorganic film by vacuum deposition on the organic film surface.
Abstract:
The invention is related to a processing formulation and method for producing fabrics which are eco-friendly and easy to implement. The invention provides stereoscopic fabrics with special patterns and tactile texture produced by an eco-friendly non-dye formulation and process.
Abstract:
A method of maintaining a painted surface by storing a volume of matched touch up paint in a squeezable container having a built in dispenser and applicator installed on the container and rubbing a porous pad into which a dispensed volume of touch up paint has been received onto a blemished area of the painted surface.
Abstract:
A non-contact edge coating apparatus includes an applicator for applying a coating material on an edge of a solar cell substrate and a control system configured to drive the applicator. The control system may drive the applicator along an axis to maintain a distance with an edge of the substrate as the substrate is rotated to have the edge coated with a coating material. The applicator may include a recessed portion into which the edge of the substrate is received for edge coating. For example, the applicator may be a roller with a groove. Coating material may be introduced into the groove for application onto the edge of the substrate. A variety of coating materials may be employed with the apparatus including hot melt ink and UV curable plating resist.
Abstract:
Binder compositions are described, where the compositions include a protein, a first crosslinking compound that includes a carbohydrate, and a second crosslinking compound that includes two or more primary amine groups. The first and second crosslinking compounds may be individually crosslinkable with each other and with the protein. Also described are fiber products that may include inorganic or organic fibers and a cured thermoset binder prepared from a protein and at least two crosslinking compounds. Additionally, methods of making fiber products are described that include providing inorganic or organic fibers, and applying a liquid binder composition to the fibers to form a fiber-binder amalgam. The liquid binder composition may include a protein and at least two crosslinking compounds that include a carbohydrate and an organic amine with two or more primary amines. The amalgam may be heated to a curing temperature to form the fiber product.
