Abstract: A process of providing an antibacterial coating to the surface of an article including the steps of applying a layer of an antibacterial precursor layer to the surface of an article to which an antibacterial coating is to be applied, wherein said antibacterial precursor layer is a precursor from which the coating is to be formed; and directing a neutral molecular hydrogen flux from a neutral molecular hydrogen flux emission source towards the surface of the article. Upon impact of neutral hydrogen molecules on molecules at or on the surface of an article, the bonds of the antibacterial precursor layer are selectively ruptured, and wherein the selectively ruptured bonds cross-link with themselves or with other chemical moieties at said surface or a combination thereof, resulting an antibacterial coating being formed on the surface of the article.

Abstract: A method for creating a carbon nanotube heater assembly includes creating a carbon nanotube heater with varying resistances and attaching the carbon nanotube heater to both carrier and encapsulating materials. Creating the carbon nanotube heater with varying resistances is accomplished by applying a carbon nanotube mixture to a substrate, adjusting the thickness or width of the carbon nanotube mixture, and drying the nanotube mixture.

Abstract: A method for printing on a low surface energy substrate. The low surface energy substrates may be flexible low surface energy substrates. A primer is applied to the surface of the low surface energy substrate using a spray coating system. A pressure pot spray system that oscillates as the substrate passes underneath it on a conveyor system may be used. The primer is then allowed to air dry. Once dry, a printer can be used to print a graphic, design or other ornamental feature on the primed surface of the substrate. Once printing is complete, a clear coating is applied to the substrate and then cured.

Abstract: The invention relates to an intertwined multilayer primer/fluoropolymer coating on the glass substrate. The final coating has excellent wet adhesion to glass, good weathering, durability, chalking resistance, chemical resistance, and dirt pickup resistance. The coating is an environmentally friendly aqueous, fluoropolymer coating composition. The coating process involves applying a polyurethane primer to the glass substrate, and partially, but not completely crosslinking this primer coating. An aqueous hydroxyl-functional fluoropolymer coating is then applied to the partially cross-linked primer coating, and the coating allowed to fully cure. The invention also relates to the intertwined multilayer primer/fluoropolymer coating on the glass substrate. The final coating has excellent wet adhesion to glass, good weathering, durability, chalking resistance, chemical resistance, and dirt pickup resistance.
