The mechanical technology of converting oscillatory motion, into one direction of rotation, as described and claimed in U.S. Pat. No. 5,881,609, while being efficient, useful and having numerous applications, has its disadvantage of not being able to function unless user employs both hands; one hand to apply oscillatory motion to an input, while opposite hand immobilizes the axial rotation of the converting gear-train, in order for the conversion to be activated. The rod end/receiver coupling is located underneath the seat of either the lead car or another secondary roller coaster car, thereby forming a “coupling compartment”. Removing the seat cushion provides access to this coupling compartment.

A seating system for a chair in the form of a deflatable cushion. The two-inch-thick cushion, divided into nine rectangular sections, will have an open-end casing comprised of viscoelastic foam. The air compressor, connected to the battery power source, shoots pressurized gas into a check valve and then into branched rubber tubings. The sequence of deflation is as follows: pressurized gas passes through the air compressor's plastic compartment, which encases antibacterial liquid that the gas can pass through before entering the check valve. Having exited the air compressor and entered the check valve, the valve will regulate the flow of air to the cushion based on synchronization with the compressor and electronic feedback from the application or manual control. Images may be obtained using a moving camera comprised of two or more rigidly mounted image sensors. Camera motion may change camera orientation when different portions of an image are captured. Pixel acquisition time may be determined based on image exposure duration and position of the pixel in the image array (pixel row index). Orientation of the sensor may at the pixel acquisition time instance may be determined. Image transformation may be performed wherein a given portion of the image may be associated with a respective transformation characterized by the corrected sensor orientation. In some implementations of panoramic image acquisition, multiple source images may be transformed to, e.g., equirectangular plane, using sensor orientation that is corrected for the time of pixel acquisition. Use of orientation correction may improve quality of stitching by, e.g., reducing contrast of border areas between portions of the transformed image obtained by different image sensors.

By using various information such as GPS information, cartographic information, and atmospheric pressure acquired by a sensor, a CPU of an imaging device calculates a motion vector in a limited MV calculation area acquired by excluding from images an area where radial motion vectors occur which highly possibly give an adverse effect to motion vector calculation, in accordance with the gravity direction with respect to the imaging device, the orientation of the imaging device, and the slope angle of the road where the imaging device is moving forward. After calculating the motion vector, the CPU estimates a blur amount between frames from the calculated motion vector and, based on this blur amount, performs the alignment of a feature point between the frames by image deformation processing.

Color correction methods relate device dependent sensor responses (RGB) to device independent color values (XYZ). The present invention discloses a new approach to Hue Plane Preserving Color Correction (HPPCC) using weighted constrained 3×3 matrices. Accordingly, the methods of the present invention employ hue angle specific weighted matrixing. Given a device RGB from which a device hue angle is derived, a corresponding transformation matrix is found as the normalized weighted sum of all pre-calculated constrained white point and training color preserving matrices. Each weight is calculated as a power function of the minimum difference between the device and the training color hue angle. The weighting function provides local influence to the matrices that are in close hue angle proximity to the device color. The power of the function can be further optimized for global accuracy. The methods of the present invention are termed HPPCC-WCM for Hue Plane Preserving Color Correction Weighted Constrained Methods. Experiments performed using different input spectra demonstrate that the claimed methods consistently improve the stability and accuracy of state-of-the-art methods for color correction.

Technologies are disclosed for local and distributed function based dynamic traffic management for network services. A service host executes a network service and provides a service framework that includes one or more handlers. When a request is received for the service, one of the handlers assigns a classification to the request. The handler then provides the classification to a dynamic function based traffic controller. The controller determines whether the network service is to process the request based on the classification of the request, metrics associated with the network service, and a local traffic management policy. If the controller determines that the network service is not to process the request, the request is rejected. Otherwise, the request is passed to the network service for processing. Metrics can also be provided from the service host to a distributed performance monitoring system for use in managing network traffic at a fleet level.
