본 발명에 따른 차량 인버터 회로는 복수개의 스위칭소자를 구비하여 직류 전원을 교류 전류로 스위칭하는 스위칭부와, 오버슛이 발생하는 경우 상기 오버슛을 클램핑하고, 시스템 전압이 클램핑 내압보다 큰 경우 상기 스위칭부의 구동을 중지시키는 가변 클램핑부를 포함한다.
본 발명은 클램핑부 내압보다 큰 시스템 전압(DC 입력전압)을 사용할 수 있도록 하여 설계 변경이 유리하고 차량의 모터 성능을 향상시키는 효과가 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An inverter protection system and a method is provided to prevent overcharging of a DC link by limiting the rate of a motor and an engine according to the temperature of a power switch device. CONSTITUTION: An inverter protection system and a method comprises an inverter(130), and a controller(200). A plurality of power switch devices connects to the inverter in series. The inverter converts D.C. voltage of a battery(110) to the three-phase A.C. voltage, and supplies the converted voltage to a motor by a driving voltage, and supplies voltage generated by regenerative breaking to the battery. The controller maintains the charging voltage of the D.C. link by limiting the rate of a motor and an engine according to the temperature of a motor and the power switch devices.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A charging system for plug-in hybrid vehicle is provided to control the pre-recharge of a DC link in case of detecting the connection of a charging connecter for charging battery, there by stabilizing a power system. CONSTITUTION: A charging system for plug-in hybrid vehicle comprises: a battery(106) in which direct current voltage is saved; a first motor(101) operated by an electric motor or a generator; a second motor(102) operated by an electric motor or a generator; a first inverter(103) for driving the first motor; a second inverter(104) for driving the second motor; a voltage converter(105) supplying direct voltage from the battery to the first and the second inverter with increasing or decreasing voltage, and supplying direct voltage from the first and the second inverter to the battery with increasing or decreasing voltage; a charge port(108) connected to the external alternating or direct voltage source; a connection detector(109), which is in the charge port, detecting the connection of charging connector(charging stand); a charging relay(110) which is installed between the first and the second motor, controlling a commercial electricity, which is supplied to the neutral point of the first and the second motors; and a charging controller(200). The charge controller: prevents the electrical connection of eternal AC or DC power to the neutral point of the first and the second motor before the initialization of controllers, through the operation of the initial activation of the controllers including the charge controller, if the off-sate of the charging relay, in case of detecting the connection of the charge controller; charges voltage to a DC link capacitor, by controlling IGBT of voltage converter in the off-state of the first and the second inverters, and then connecting the electric energy of the battery to the DC link capacitor of the fist and the second inverter; and prevents the initial inrushing current, when connecting external voltage source and the neutral point of the first and the second motor.
