Abstract:
A wiring substrate includes a device substrate having a first surface, a sealing plate having a second surface superimposed on the first surface via an adhesive film and crossing the first surface, and wires set along the surfaces of the first surface, the adhesive film, and the second surface. The wiring substrate includes, between the wires adjacent to each other, a recessed section forming a recess with respect to a first bonding surface of the adhesive which is in contact with the first wire and a second bonding surface of the adhesive which is in contact with the second wire.

A transmission module includes an electrically insulative substrate body, a first card edge connector provided at a first end of the substrate body, a second card edge connector provided at a second end of the substrate body, a circuit element mounted on the substrate body, a control element mounted on the substrate body and provided with a built-in memory which controls the circuit element, a first wiring pattern formed on the substrate body for connecting an electrode of the first card edge connector and the control element together, and a second wiring pattern formed on the substrate body for connecting an electrode of the second card edge connector and the control element together.
Abstract:
A terminal includes a terminal wiring part extending from a flexure and having an insulating layer and a wiring layer formed on the insulating layer, a terminal main part formed at a front end of the terminal wiring part and connected to a piezoelectric element arranged to face the terminal main part, and a terminal bender that is made of a supportive metal layer, is arranged along a part of the terminal wiring part in an extending direction thereof, and is plastically deformed to form a bend in the part of the terminal wiring part so as to bring the terminal main part closer to the piezoelectric element.
Abstract:
An edge launch and fabrication method wherein spaced elongated slots are formed through a circuit board. The slots are plated at least along one side thereof connecting ground planes of the circuit board thus forming spaced edge plated regions. Circuit modules are produced by singulating the circuit board along a cut line offset outwardly from the plated slot sides to form an edge launch outwardly extending from and between the spaced edge plated regions.
Abstract:
A line card of a set of line cards is configured to be coupled to a set of switch-fabric cards to collectively define at least a portion of an orthogonal cross fabric without a midplane board. The line card has an edge portion, a first side and a second side, opposite the first side. The line card includes a set of first set of connectors and a second set of connectors. The first set of connectors is disposed along the edge portion on the first side of the line card and the second set of connectors is disposed along the edge portion on the second side of the line card.
Abstract:
Example embodiments are directed to circuit boards, connectors, cases, circuit board assemblies, case assemblies, devices and methods of manufacturing the same, which are common to at least two different form factors.
Abstract:
A connector which can absorb thermal expansion and contraction of a substrate, or positional deviation of the substrate, and which enables the male and female connectors thereof to be fitted to each other where the male and female connectors are inclined to each other. A male terminal of a male connector, and a female terminal of a female connector are slidable relative to each other when in contact with each other. The male terminal and the female terminal are rotatable relative to each other about a contact point when in contact with each other, and hence the male terminal and the female terminal can be attached and detached to and from each other at an arbitrary rotating position.
Abstract:
A blade includes both a motherboard and daughter card to allow the combined functionality to be incorporated into a single blade for size reduction. Standoffs couple the daughter card to the motherboard. Cantilever portions of the motherboard and daughter card exist between the standoffs and terminals of the motherboard and daughter card. The cantilever portions bend to accommodate any misalignment between the terminals of the motherboard and the daughter card and mating connectors of a bulkhead or printed circuit board backplane.
Abstract:
A lightweight radio/CD player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a case and frontal interface formed of polymer based material that is molded to provide details to accept audio devices such as playback mechanisms (if desired) and radio receivers, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case and frontal interface are of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen that has been pre-formed to contour with the molding operation. The wire mesh provides EMC, RFI, BCI and ESD shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. The major components and subassemblies self-interconnect by integral guide and connection features effecting “slide lock” and “snap lock” self-interconnection. The major components and subassemblies self-ground by establishing an interference fit with exposed, resilient, embossed portions of wire mesh.
Abstract:
An electrical connector adapted to receive a mating plug utilizes low-profile jack terminal contacts that can flex in their PCB-anchored base portions, which are substantially parallel to the PCB. Any bend in the distal connecting portion or in the intermediate transition portion of each terminal contact is gradual and forms an obtuse angle, thus minimizing stress concentrations. The contacts preferably are arranged in two oppositely facing and interdigitating rows of four contacts each. In one embodiment, the terminal contacts are anchored to the PCB by a contact cradle that constrains the base portion of each terminal contact at two spaced anchoring locations, allowing the base portion to flex therebetween. In another embodiment, the base portions of the terminal contacts are embedded in at least one elastomeric member, which is fitted to the PCB.
