Abstract: Es wird ein strahlungsemittierender Halbleiterkörper (14) angegeben, der neben einer epitaktischen Halbleiterschichtenfolge (3) mit einer aktiven Zone (4), die dazu geeignet ist, elektromagnetische Strahlung zu erzeugen, eine Trägerschicht (1) aufweist, die dazu vorgesehen ist, die epitaktische Halbleiterschichtenfolge (3) mechanisch zu stabilisieren. Weiterhin weist der Halbleiterkörper (14) Kontaktstrukturen (9, 91) zur elektrischen Kontaktierung des Halbleiterkörpers (14) auf, die jeweils einen Volumenbereich (12) und einen Oberflächenfügebereich (13) aufweisen, wobei der Oberflächenfügebereich aus einem Material gebildet ist, das von dem Material des Volumenbereichs (12) verschieden ist. Es wird weiterhin ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines solchen Halbleiterkörpers (14) und ein Bauelement mit einem solchen Halbleiterkörper (14) angegeben.
