Abstract: The spectrometer includes: a light source unit emitting a laser beam; a mirror unit including a first plane mirror having a first mirror surface and a second plane mirror having a second mirror surface, wherein a measurement target is introduced between the first mirror surface and the second mirror surface; and a light detector detecting the laser beam returned by multiple reflection between the first mirror surface and the second mirror surface. The first mirror surface and the second mirror surface are arranged non-parallel to each other when viewed from the Z-axis direction so as to form an optical path of the laser beam reciprocating in the Y-axis direction while performing multiple reflection between the first mirror surface and the second mirror surface. Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure may include an imaging system that includes a plurality of uncooled cameras configured to detect the presence of gas within a scene imaged. The plurality of cameras may include at least one broadband camera and at least one narrowband camera. The narrowband camera may include a filter or image data from the narrowband camera may be filtered to the band desired. The images captured by the broadband and narrowband cameras may be processed and/or analyzed to determine the presence of gas within the scene. An image may be generated incorporating the image data of the broadband and narrowband cameras and the presence of gas may be indicated within the image.

Abstract: Color calibration of color image rendering devices, such as large color displays, which operate by either projection or emission of images, utilize internal color measurement instrument or external color measurement modules locatable on a wall or speaker. A dual use camera is provided for a portable or laptop computer, or a cellular phone, handset, personal digital assistant or other handheld device with a digital camera, in which one of the camera or a display is movable with respect to the other to enable the camera in a first mode to capture images of the display for enabling calibration of the display, and in a second mode for capturing image other than of the display. The displays may represent rendering devices for enabling virtual proofing in a network, or may be part of stand-alone systems and apparatuses for color calibration. Improved calibration is also provided for sensing and correcting for non-uniformities of rendering devices, such as color displays, printer, presses, or other color image rendering device.

Abstract: An inspection apparatus is provided that comprises an optical target including a solid host material and a fluorescing material embedded in the solid host material. The solid host material has a predetermined phonon energy HOSTPE. The fluorescing material exhibits a select ground energy level and a target excitation (TE) energy level separated from the ground energy level by a first energy gap corresponding to a fluorescence emission wavelength of interest. The fluorescing material has a next lower lying (NLL) energy level relative to the TE energy level. The NLL energy level is spaced a second energy gap FMEG2 below the TE energy level, wherein a ratio of the FMEG2/HOSTPE is three or more.

Abstract: A device for radiometrically gauging the surface of a measurement object (O) includes: at least one measurement array featuring an illumination array and a pick-up array; and a processor (P) for controlling the illumination array and the pick-up array and for processing measurement signals produced by the pick-up array and for providing processed image data. The measurement object (O) is gauged multispectrally in multiple wavelength ranges, wherein the image sensor produces multispectral image data. Angular and spatial conditions are indicated which optimise the measurement device (MD) with regard to characterising sparkles.
