    Abstract: A driving circuit for an inverter fan of HEVs and a method for controlling the inverter fan using the same are provided to decrease noise due to driving of a fan in low temperature/light-load by controlling driving of the inverter fan efficiently according to temperature. A method for controlling an inverter fan of HEVs comprises a step for operating the inverter fan in case of receiving a torque control command from HCU to MCU or in case motor velocity is 4000RPM or greater without the torque control command and a step for increasing speed of the inverter fan in case temperature of the inverter and the MCU increases to reference temperature or greater. In operation of PWM, the method prevent on/off of the inverter fan for 2 seconds while maintaining an ON state of the fan.

    Abstract: An emergency operation method in switch malfunction of a DC/DC converter is provided to perform the emergency operation of a LDC(Low-voltage DC Converter) by using a pair of switches of steady- state among four switches in switch open trouble. A controller delivers signals for switch fault diagnostics to a switch trouble detector in the abnormal operation of a LDC(ST1). According to the signal of the controller, the switch trouble detector authorizes PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal for checkup in a switch(ST2). The switch trouble detector makes the diagnosis of malfunction and type of the switch based on the current value detected from a current sensor connected to a switching unit input terminal. When one or two between a pair of switches among four switches operating to a pair are in open trouble and a remaindering pair of switches are steady, the PWM signal for drive is applied at the two steady switches(ST8). The emergency operation of the LDC is performed by on/OFF operation of the two steady switches.
