Abstract:
A continuous variable valve lift apparatus is provided to prevent degradation of engine efficiency caused due to the reduction of opening speed of a valve and flow resistance of intake air. A continuous variable valve lift apparatus includes a cam(101), a first shaft, a second shaft(107), a roller(109), a first arm(111), and a second arm(115). The cam rotates by a cam shaft(103). The first shaft has a preset radius. The second shaft has a radius smaller than that of the first shaft, and is joined into the first shaft such that the first shaft is positioned at a different point in correspondence to the rotation of the second shaft. The roller moves in a vertical direction by the rotation of the cam, and is joined to the first shaft such that the roller moves from the point of the first shaft serving as a reference point. The first arm is joined to the second shaft such that the first arm is movable by the roller. The second arm is fixed to a third shaft(113) so as to open/close a valve(117) in accordance with the operation of the first arm.

A two-step various valve lift system is provided to improve engine efficiency by controlling the amount of air-fuel mixture and exhaust gas in accordance with an engine condition. A two-step various valve lift system includes a high cam(11), a low cam(12), a high body(14), a low body(15), a return unit, a press unit, and a joint unit. The high cam and the low cam are eccentrically fitted to a cam shaft(10). The high body is pressed by the rotation of the high cam. The low body has an intermediate portion with a cut-out(16) for fitting of the high body, and a rear portion hinged to a rocker arm(17) coaxially with the high body. The return unit is arranged beneath the low body so as to support the low body. The press unit is arranged at a front end of the low body so as to press a valve(13). The joint unit moves the high body integrally with the low body during a high lifting.

PURPOSE: A method for determining three driving mode value applying to GDI engine is provided, and various electronic control value based on the three driving mode is also provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling of a gasoline direct injection engine comprises a step of receiving engine rpm and needed relative value of engine load, and deciding one of driving mode among early homogeneous mode(EHM), early stratified mode(ESM), and late stratified mode(LSM). An electronic control value of gasoline direct injection engine based on the determined driving mode is calculated.
Abstract:
The apparatus connects the timing gear provided in a crankshaft and the timing gear provided in a cam shaft(1) by means of a timing chain, so as to control a suction and exhaust valve opening time in accordance with rotation of the crankshaft. The apparatus includes: a cam(4), in which a slider(3) is inserted to slide in the rotation and shaft direction, and a lobe(4A) is twisted at a specific angle( M) to selectively control the opening time; a cylinder(7) having a piston(6) at one side of slider(3), to perform the rectilinear reciprocating motion; and a solenoid valve(11) that is in communication with a hydraulic pump(9) and an accumulator(10), and connected electrically with ECU(8), to selectively switch an oil passage.
