    Abstract: PURPOSE: A torque and output controlling method of an induction motor is provided to increase operating range by varying a boundary point of static torque range and static output range. CONSTITUTION: A torque and output controlling method of an induction motor adjusts a boundary point of static torque range and static output range by varying a torque portion current value. The torque portion current value is maintained as a constant from initiation of the induction motor to any velocity point. The torque portion current value is adjusted by varying the torque portion current value from the velocity point to approach a rated torque portion current value. The boundary point is adjusted correspondingly to the adjusted torque current value. The torque portion current may be initially maintained as high and decreased inversely proportional to the velocity. The torque portion current may be increased to maintain a constant output over a reference velocity.
