CONSTITUTION: A battery pack protection apparatus(50) comprises an insulating membrane unit, and a supporting unit(40) onto a housing(20) which surrounds a battery pack(10). The insulating membrane unit consists of a structure capable being drawn by winding around the supporting unit which is fix-installed to the housing. The insulating membrane unit consists of a fiber material or a synthetic resin material of an insulating body with elasticity. The insulating membrane unit is installed on the front and back sides and the left and right sides of the housing inside. The battery pack is a battery pack for a hybrid electric vehicle, a plug-in electric vehicle or an electric vehicle.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A high voltage system of an electric vehicle is provided to directly connect a single module of a high voltage battery to a circuit of a low voltage electrical component for being used as an auxiliary battery, thereby reducing manufacturing costs by eliminating the auxiliary battery. CONSTITUTION: A safety fuse(11) and a high voltage relay(12) are serially connected to a high voltage battery(10). The high voltage relay is comprised of a minus main relay, a plus main relay, and a pre-charge relay. A low voltage DC-DC converter(13) is connected between a normal close relay(14) and a low voltage electrical component. The low voltage DC-DC converter supplies reduced power of the high voltage battery to the low voltage electrical component. A single module power source of the high voltage battery is used as an initial power source of an MCU(15).
