Abstract: Disclosed are a controller for a cooling fan in an engine room of a vehicle and a method for controlling the same. The controller for a cooling fan in an engine room of a vehicle comprises a communications unit receiving information on an automatic temperature controlling device and information on a cluster through vehicle communications; an input unit receiving an IG1 signal; and a controlling unit which controls the operation of the cooling fan in the engine room through the information on an automatic temperature controlling device and the information on a cluster and forcibly operates the cooling fan in the engine room for predetermined hours while the IG1 signal is on or after the IG1 signal is off when the vehicle communications malfunctions.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A VVL(Variable Valve Lift) device is provided to reduce the operating impact of a valve through a bypass channel, thereby reducing the vibration of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A VVL device comprises a housing(20), a master unit(40), first and second oil supply units(50,80), a slave piston(60), and a latching unit(100). The housing is installed in a cylinder head(10). The master unit is installed and slid in the housing and contacts a cam(30). The first oil supply unit is formed inside the master unit. The slave piston is installed and slid in the housing and forms an oil chamber(70) with the master unit. The latching unit selectively couples the slave piston and the master unit with hydraulic pressure supplied from the first oil supply unit. The second oil supply unit supplies hydraulic pressure to the oil chamber.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A continuous variable valve lift apparatus is provided to reduce pumping loss of a cylinder by advancing the maximum lift point as the valve lift decreases. CONSTITUTION: A continuous variable valve lift apparatus comprises a control shaft(105), an eccentric member, a roller type follower(155), and a variable arm. The control shaft is arranged in a line with a cam shaft(100) formed with a cam on one side. The eccentric member has an insertion hole in which the control shaft is inserted and an eccentric circumference having a center eccentric from the center of the inner circumference of the insertion hole. The roller type follower is installed on an end of a follower arm extended from a follower loop and contacts with the cam. The variable arm is extended from a variable loop(150) which is installed to slide on the eccentric outer circumference and moves toward or opposite to the center of the control shaft according to the rotation of the control shaft, thereby changing the amount or timing of pressing a swing arm(125).
