Membranes having a permselective active layer of a copolymerized perfluorinated monomer and an non-fluorinated alkylvinylester monomer demonstrate superior selective permeability performance for separating gas mixtures compared to membranes of exclusively perfluorinated polymers. Preferred active layer compositions are copolymers of perfluoro-2,2-dimethyl-1,3 dioxole (PDD) copolymerized with an alkylvinyl ester such as vinyl acetate, and vinyl pivalate, and with alkylvinyl esters that are substantially hydrolyzed to provide copolymerized vinyl alcohol functionality. The membranes can have a thin, high diffusion rate, “gutter layer” of a fluorinated polymer highly permeable to nitrogen positioned between the active layer and a porous support layer. A novel copolymer effective in selectively permeable membranes is a copolymer of PDD and an alkylvinyl ester compound having the formula H2C═CHOC(O)R1 in which R1 is a linear or branched alkyl group of from 2 to 5 carbon atoms.

A novel IFN-α/β independent ligand receptor system which upon engagement leads, among other things, to the establishment of an anti-viral state is disclosed. Further disclosed are three closely positioned genes on human chromosome 19 that encode distinct but highly homologous proteins, designated IFN-λ1, IFN-λ2, IFN-λ3, based inter alia, in their ability to induce antiviral protection. Expression of these proteins is induced upon viral infection. A receptor complex utilized by all three IFN-λ proteins for signaling is also disclosed. The invention comprises a plurality of components, each of which impedes or prevents intrusion by bed bugs onto a bed or kill them upon contact. A fitted sheet, impenetrable to bed bugs is removeably attached to a slippery skirt, which is too smooth for a bed bug to climb. An access point (AP) device determines a set of basic service set identifiers (BSSIDs). Each BSSID includes a same group of most significant bits (MSBs) and a different group of n least significant bits (LSBs). The AP device assigns respective BSSIDs from the set of BSSIDs to multiple virtual APs, and designates one of the assigned BSSIDs as a reference BSSID that corresponds to a transmitter address (TA) for frames intended for client stations associated with more than one virtual AP. The AP device generates and transmits a management frame that includes i) a header with a TA field set to one of the assigned BSSIDs, and ii) a frame body with a plurality of fields that includes a) a first field set to n, and b) a second field set to the n LSBs of the reference BSSID. A CU (Central Unit) executes scheduling for allocating radio resources of RRUs (Remote Radio Units) to radio transmission of downlink data while broadcasting, to DMs (Data Managers) via MFH, downlink data from MBH. Each DM selects, based on an allocation result obtained by scheduling, the downlink data of an RRU (Remote Radio Unit) corresponding to the self DM from the accumulated downlink data from the CU, and transfers the selected downlink data to the corresponding RRU while discarding the downlink data of other RRUs. Based on the allocation result, each RRU performs radio transmission of the downlink data from the DM to a corresponding UE (User Equipment) using the designated radio resource. This makes it possible to efficiently transfer the downlink data from the CU to each RRU via the MFH constructed by a TDM system represented by TDM-PON.
