A variable ankle supporting shoe assembly includes a shoe including a perimeter wall having a lining comprising a foamed material. A magnetorheological fluid impregnates the foamed material and is alternated between a first state wherein the foamed material is bendable and a second state wherein the magnetorheological fluid forms a rigid structure within the foamed material such that the foamed material is not bendable. The lining forms a rigid and supportive shell when the magnetorheological fluid is in the second state. An actuating system alters the magnetorheological fluid from the first state to the second state when a condition has been met. The condition is met when the actuating system detects a combination of a threshold angle and a threshold pressure has been surpassed by the sole.

Included is a brewing system that utilizes a curved pedestal that allows brewed effluent to drain in a manner that travels toward the center of the curved pedestal to maximize the exposure of the effluent to the organic material used for brewing, while also maximizing yield. The pedestal 112 sits above the lowest effluent level to allow the brewed effluent to drain from the organic material that is used for brewing to maximize the amount of effluent obtained. By allowing the brewed effluent to drain from the organic material, the weight and size of the organic material is reduced, so that the filter bag can be removed from the brewing system without ripping or tearing. The brewing system eliminates the need for a separate mesh bag and allows the effluent to drain without squeezing the filter bag and which would otherwise cause the release of harsh oils and acids, which can also be unsanitary as a result of a user handling the bag filter.

The present disclosure provides various aspects related to techniques for generating trigger frames, at an access point (AP), that reduce the overhead associated with triggering an uplink transmission from the wireless station (STA). Features of the present disclosure achieve this by, for example, utilizing a single per-user information field of the trigger to signal a plurality of random access resource units that may be allocated to the one or more STAs in the network. Such a technique is an improvement over the conventional system that require each random access resource unit to be signaled separately in a separate per-user information field (thus increasing the overhead). Additionally, aspects of the present disclosure allow the AP to effectively signal to the STA whether the one or more resources allocated to the at least one STA are a single user resource unit allocation or a multi-user resource unit allocation.

A system, method, and computer program product are provided for rendering a combined image. In use, two or more source images including at least one strobe image and at least one ambient image are loaded. A motion transform is estimated between the two or more source images. The two or more source images are aligned based on the motion transform. Additionally, at least one pixel of the two or more source images is color-corrected based on the alignment. A first blend weight associated with the two or more source images is initialized, a first combined image from the two or more source images is rendered based on the color-correction and the first blend weight. Additional systems, methods, and computer program products are also presented.

A method, system, and apparatus for alleviating an obstruction caused by an object from a view of an observer includes a hardware device affixed to the object such that the observer observes a presentation on the device when observing the object. The device is enabled to receive a signal, wherein the signal corresponds to a portion of an ambience obscured by the object from a view of the observer. The signal is processed at the device and without using a data processing system, to generate a version of the signal. Using the device, the version of the signal is presented to the observer as the presentation, wherein the version of the signal alleviates the portion of the ambience obstructed by the object in the view of the observer.

Bandwidth management includes receiving, by a branch device, a requested display identification data structure from a display device. The branch device modifies the requested display identification data structure based on a total bandwidth through a constricted port on the branch device to obtain a modified display identification data structure. The branch device transmits the modified display identification data structure to a source device.

An image capturing apparatus comprises: an image sensor configured to output image data captured at any of two or more sensitivities; and a memory storing instructions which cause the apparatus to function as: a control unit configured to control a compression rate for compressing the outputted image data; a compression unit configured to compress the outputted image data at the compression rate; a decompression unit configured to decompress the compressed image data; and an application unit configured to apply a gain amount to the decompressed image data based on the two or more sensitivities, wherein the control unit controls the compression rate so that a compression rate in a case where a first gain amount is applied to is less than a compression rate in a case where a second gain amount is applied to.

Systems and methods to position and play content. The system renders a first content segment to an output device at an accelerated speed for the first content segment. Next, the system receives a request to play the first content segment from the beginning of the first content segment at a normal speed for the first content segment. Next, the system automatically positions to the beginning of the first content segment based on position information that is associated with the first content segment. Finally, the system renders the first content segment to the output device from the beginning of the first content segment at a normal speed for the first content segment.

Techniques for providing instruction to devices in the network are provided. For example, based at least in part on the list of currently active devices and the command, a controller can determine a sequence of IR signals associated with at least one currently active device and transmit, utilizing an IR transmitter incorporated with the controller, the sequence of IR signals to one or more of the currently active devices. In another example, an audio command and location information can be received and used to determine where a controller should transmit an IR signal that corresponds with the audio command, based at least in part on the location information.
